I only found out about this last week when I saw it was getting released by HMV. Watched the trailer and it looks pretty cool. I loved Doomsday so this should be good. A lot of films seem to slip by me though, mostly because I never see them on TV and my local cinema is rubbish and hardly shows anything! I think I will rent this before I buy, a little pricey for a blind buy at £17.99 almost everywhere!

Just bought it today, I'm impressed with the audio, the slipcase rocks, but the video quality is pretty bod standard in my opinion. Will be watching it tonight, can't wait!

It says B on the back, but I can't confirm if it is or not as I'm in region B-land.

I am with you on this Natty. I have also been waiting for it to drop. I have had the slipcover on its own for a few months now, just waiting

Does anyone know how the PQ stacks up to the US version?

I just recently found out the Australian release is cropped so I'm looking to get either the UK or US version, everything is the same except for the encode VC-1 (UK) and AVC (US). The UK version is considerably cheaper so I would prefer to get that one, I'm hoping the PQ is comparable.

There isn't really anything between them, as the UK disc has a fairly high bitrate for a VC-1 encoding. The US disc does however have 7.1 audio, so that may or may not be a factor for you.
