I was told in another forum that the Buena Vista version is region free and the Amazon.co.uk site confirms that

Drinkmore,

Got it from amazon UK site. Unfortunately we have to step outside US borders for a little more intelligence when it comes to understanding that beating your kid's ass isn't going to keep them from being homosexual.

Way, way over the top and uncalled for.

Hey, we each entitle to our opinion. I happen to disagree with yours and those who refuse to watch a movie because of homophobia. Disagreement, one of the benefits of democracy!

Teacher, whether or not it's on Blu or HD has nothing to do with the attitudes of the country, and purely by which studio happened to buy it

The rest of you, if you don't plan on buying it, then no reason to look at the thread, or post is there. But you might try it anyway, here's a handy and humerous guide

I think you're way too angry and defensive on the entire subject. Clearly something personal is on the line here for you.

I don't recall even posting my opinon of the film in this thread or anywhere else for that matter, but I will now:

I didn't care for it. Homesexuality or not, I just didn't think it was that great of a film.

I'm a big Western fan, in general. This movie just didn't cut it for me.

Don't like that? Call the ACLU, I guess.

I bet you if the movie had a guy and jessica alba - everyone here would be ALL OVER it drooling! However, it's just two men. Oh well.

Amazon UK is only showing it as pre-order. Teacher, how did you order it? Or did you pre-order?

Thanks.

Has the world now become so "open-minded" that you can't say you didn't like Brokeback Mountain without being accused of homophobia?

What's the ACLU have to do with anything? Oh well, to each their own. Have a fabulous day JTK.
