Any updates? At my local Best Buy, this is their demo for Panasonic for the past 1.5 years now, along with the Panasonic proprietary 3d demo.

Um, since this thread was last posted , Imagi has sadly gone under, taking Gatchaman with it.
And Summit, who originally released the film, isn't doing so hot, either. Looks like there's no one to take up the cause.

Thanks EricJ. Shame still no good news up to now. It's eating me away. This is the demo I saw that impressed me on buying a Panni 3D. And with Avatar coming in free with the TV, I thought my 2nd disc will be Astro Boy.

They should have gotten this title out early on to have taken advantage of there being few titles available and people being less selective of the ones they buy. Now with bigger name titles available people might be more likely to pass this one up if it comes out.

It's beautiful and cleanly made (at least from what I saw at BB).

Astro 3D sounds interesting. I was wondering what the story was on this one.

So Darkest Hour 3D was a clunker? I heard it was original and had good action. All opinions of course. I would've checked it out if it was in 3D, but it wasn't at the theater.

This is an old thread but I had to give some input on this. I thought I had finally found a site that had a 3D version but turns out it was just regular blu ray. I went out on a limb and bought it since I didn't have a copy of this movie at all. I still hear rumors that there's a Japanese version somewhere out there but can't get confirmation from anyone. Here's a few pics of what I got and you can see on the back slipcover it says 3D but it's all in Korean so it might just be making mention of 3D when it was in theaters.

I would still love to get a 3D copy of this as it looked great in the theaters.

You can see on the back of the slipcover where it says 3D and they mention 3D on the yesasia.com site I bought it from.....but it is NOT 3D. Here's the link to it if you do want a copy as it really is a nice looking blu ray. Just remember it isn't 3D.

I believe it was 2D only in theaters and just 3D for that trailer on the 3DTV demo disc. A full 3D version may not even exist.

Imagi was planning to release a 3D version for the Japan market. The rest of the world was to get a 2D only release. I can't confirm whether or not Japan got it in 3D but since Panasonic was able to get a hold of a 3D trailer, I'm guessing that Japanese theaters did show it in 3D.

I could have sworn I saw this in 3D when I saw it in theaters. I'll have to ask my local Regal theater manager to look up my account and see if it was. I tried looking on my facebook page but seems I didn't join FB until a few months after the movie.....I have always gotten on FB and posted what movie I was watching and if in 3D.
