Hello everyone:
I am on vacation this week, and got very excited when i saw the threads about CC having BoG in the back. My brother in law works at the Mt. Ephraim CC and i stopped by after coming back from AC, and he went in the back. He said they only had HD-DVD in the back, so i showed him these posts, and he said it doesnt surprise him that workers would say that because 50% of them think hd-dvd and blu-ray are one in the same. He called the regional distribution and they only have hd-dvd, no CC stores in NY, PA, OH, DE, NJ, MD have received Blu-Ray, which leads to believe they were never shipped. He also said which is disturbing so SOny better get their damn act together, that this past weekend they outsold HD-DVD players 3 to 1 to blu-ray. He has alot of blu-ray as do i, and he said he is pissed now looking at the shelves. HD-DVD offers batman begins, breakfast club, perfect storm, liar liar, caddyshack, and comparing that to the exclusives that Blu-Ray has is worrying. SONY PLEASE WAKE-UP AND DO SOMETHING QUICK.

Hardly surprising considering the prices. But BD players are selling better.

With the exception of Batman Begins, which is highly sought but a soft encode still, all the other titles you just mentioned are problematic titles : either soft, bad master, or the jaggies (Perfect Storm). BD exclusives that are coming should lighten up your friends soon enough.

SONY PLEASE WAKE-UP AND DO SOMETHING QUICK.

Blu-ray Disc Association is bigger than Sony.

let it be know that we pay for quality..blu ray players/ps3 are quality things,,unlike that certain hd-dvd add-on that scratches disc

Those guys just know it's a HD version of a movie back there but probably don't know which is which. I think they just saw the HD DVD version.

I agree with what youre saying about cheap isnt good, that is why i have gone blu-ray, but you know and I know that 75% of the people in the brick and mortar stores dont have a clue, and that is evident when you hear them asking the 22 year old kid who is busy picking his nose and talking about Madden 08 their opinion on which is better, and the 22 year old response is "well it depends on which titles you like better". People that dont know the difference surely arent to know anything about jaggies or mpeg2, their only going to say hmmmmmm 299.00 versus 499.00 and lets see their more titles that ive heard of on this red box cover as opposed to the blu. It sucks but thats why SOny needs to start putting some pressure on these studios. I also think all the blu-ray fans (my self included) need to start appreciating our successes and act like we earned it and when the war is over then throw it in their face and gloat, but all this name calling and glaoting when the war is still going on is bringing us nothing but bad kharma.

Just got back from the brand new CC and they guy checked on his pc and said he had at least 30 in stock on blu. The story just opened on sunday so it is a good chance they they got them earlier then everyone else.

I believe we were talking about circuit city stores, not Best Buy.I dont have a Best Buy in my area so I have no idea how they operate. I do know that Circuit City's Computers will not sell a dvd before the relase date. I speak from experience. Now Wal-Mart is a different story.

I am going to check out a local place tomorrow to see if they have any in. It has a huge electronics section and they typically sell the most anticipated new releases on DVD at $12.99. If they had any in, the would more likely than not, sell them.

I have called several locations here in VA.. nobody has them.

If anyone here would be kind enough to pick me up a copy IF they find them, I would be extremely thankful!

Any news if Wal-Mart or BestBuy is putting them out?
