Same here, and I just had enough of BB. Netflix all the way.

i use to have netflix, but switched to BB because returning the movies to the store and getting movies that same day really intrigued me. too bad they are changing the price structure though, but it's prolly needed. at any time, i would have around 6 movies from BB (3 from mail and 3 from store). really nice for $17.99.

also, the BB i goto always has the blu ray titles i want, so its really convenient.

Don't buy anything from BlockBuster. Their customer service is absolutely garbage. I had bad luck every single time. Go Netflix or go buy the movies from somewhere else.

I could not have said it better. I'm not putting some movie a bunch of people touched in my PS3. My blu-ray movies are for my hands only, LOL.... No scratched stuff in my PS3....

None of the Blockbuster stores in the Roanoke, VA USA area even carry BD. I just went with netflix...

I have both Blu-ray and HD DVD titles in my queue which probably helps some. My complaint is the selection offered from the studios doesn't include that many titles I am interested in, not that Blockbuster isn't carrying all or at least most that have been released of interest.

I too haven't had any issues with Blockbuster's Blu-Ray shipping-- literally received Vacancy the Tuesday that it was released, and usually my local store has all the new releases in stock on Blu to swap out...

Even the ones marked "long wait" like Apocolypto showed up without incident.

Its not like a records that can ruin your stylus. I had a big collection of DVDs, and I determined it was a waste of money in most cases since I watched probably 2/3s of them once or twice at most. With BD, I'll buy the ones I know I will watch again and again, but that is it. Of course I know people enjoy bragging about their collections. Like people with lots of books, you read it once and then you set it on a bookshelf for 20 years. Wow, you are a genius, look at all the books you have. Pulease.

Must have to do with your distrobution center because I have 60 titles in my list and 40 are BD, and NOT ONE is available. NOT ONE.

Default That's odd...

...I haven't received anything like that yet. I have the two at-a-time by mail, unlimited in-store trades and one free store rental per month for $14.99/month.

In any case you guys are right, if not for the in-store trade-in I would have stayed with Net-Flix. BB's stock of Blu-rays sucks.

Default Thanks for all your help everyone.

I can see that im not alone in this. I think it all comes down to your location such as one individual with 60 queued and all on a wait and another never having to wait at all. As far as buying blu rays Im all for it but Im not someone that spends $30 on a movie so it looks pretty in my collection. NIN in concert, 300 are a couple that were worth my investment. The last waltz was pretty cool if you like music from the 70's (classic rock, blues with Joni Mitchell, Muddy Watters, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan and the featured group "The Band"). The main reason for renting is I can watch 15-20 new movies, or movies that are new to me for less than buying one. Then after watching them I can make an informed decision on my purchases. Makes more sense if your not filthy rich or saving all your money while living in your Grandmas basement. Anyway you all helped me alot and I thank you kindly . Ill either do both or go straight netflix if they cut off my instore rentals.

GUYS we still need to support Blockbuster and rent the movies we have not seen yet, RENT MORE BLURAYS, We dont wanna let Blockbuster regret going BluRay exclusive at their stores! Support our Ally!!! Buy what you wanna buy for sure, and rent what you are not sure about if yuo dont wanna spend the money...at the end of the day, yes its what we buy is what really counts, but rent about as much as well...you only have to pay $9.99 per month to rent as many Blurays and DVDs as you want! So whats the harm...keep buying and buy more every day, but keep renting Blurays from Blockbuster to show them that there is a lot of demand for BD movie rentals out there, they will get the message and start stocking more copies!

I rented Crank on Blu-Ray last night at Blockbuster. The front desk clerk said at that particular location the Blu-Ray rentals are very popular. However, she also said that at other locations around town they are not too popular. Hit and miss I guess.
