I just checked out the nearest Target. It was interesting. They had neither the BD or HD DVD, but, they did have spaces and labels for both. They shouldn't have been sold out of either if they had any because I was there when they opened the doors. Perhaps they didn't put any out yet. I really am not expecting to see any BD copies. I might just check back when I get off work. I don't know why I am doing this, I don't even want the movie. I guess it is just the point of the matter now.

Amazon still hasn't cancelled my order and they actually have the delivery date estimated as 8/30 though it hasn't shipped...I'm wondering what will happen.

Hmm..don't really see whats so surprising about this, BoG shipped out to a number of stores before the recall order. It was a rush (not well organized) announcement so i'm sure some guys managed to keep a bit of their inventory for collection purposes, especially the smaller stores not on consignment (meaning they own their inventory already).
I dont see this going up in value as a collectors item, since we all know in a few months we'll be getting ALL paramount movies back on blu-ray anyway...can't really trust these guys to stick to anything, thats the legacy they made for themselves.

Congrats on the find, Im going out to look today. It would be dope if BoG blu ray outsold HD DVD. He he I know it wont happen but damn would it be funny.

I'm in the Brandon/Tampa Fl. area. I called every Circuit, Best Buy, Wal Mart and Target within about 30 miles with no luck. Good luck to everyone else in their search.

There's has to be thousands of copies out there somewhere. Unless the Paramount deal was in the works months before it was released.

They manufacture the discs long before its release... sucks I wasted my entire morning checking stores.

Now HD-DVD is messing with my personal life. It's on.

Yeah, there should be at least a few copies on eBay.

The few people that claim to have it have provided no proof, so it looks like this was probably never pressed.

Robocop and Commando were both pulled before release, yet copies of those show up on Ebay every once in a while. There are copies out there, and whoever finds them will have a nice collector's item.

Just did the same thing. Figured what the hell, right? Worst they can do is cancel the order. And like many have said, I didn't think the movie was THAT great . . . I was going to buy it anyway, but now I want it more just to say I have it.

The HD DVD got a four-star review on High Def Digest. The Blu-ray should be the same.
