Yea, but it's flailing at the box office...So unfortunate because it's an incredibly good movie

At least the movie covered the entire story, so it doesn't need a sequel.

Edgar Wright has yet to make a less than completely entertaining movie IMO. Saw this last weekend and really liked it. It's tough seeing it tank with average moviegoers, but oh well. Should be a great BR.

Very true. I'm glad they did it that way. Would have sucked if we had only gotten a part of the story and never saw it end. I would have been very unhappy about that so I'm glad it didn't

I would love a sequel...even if it was a contained story.

I hope it does well overseas and makes back some money.

I wish it was coming to blu-ray sooner though. I bought the soundtrack shortly after seeing the movie...

Definitely a day-one purchase for me.

Same here, I can already tell that the Ramona/Roxy fight is going to be one of the best audio sequences of the year if not all time.

I thought Pilgrim was one of the best, most refreshing films of the summer. I think that Pilgrim is going to be a Blu-ray favorite (home video), almost cult like similar to the popularity of Napoleon Dynamite or Pulp Fiction. In other words, it will make a ton of cash in the home video market.

This is a day one purchase for me. It almost saved this miserable summer of lack luster films.

I didn't think it was that good, but it definitely doesn't deserve to be handily outgrossed by Vampires Suck Ugh.
should make for a good bluray. very loud and flashy.

Agreed. Though how well has any of his films done in theaters? He stuff (to me anyway) always seem to become really popular once they hit home video. Hopefully SP will see similar home video success.

VideoETA is now predicting a November release date. They originally had January as we all are expecting, so a revised date might be due to some inside information, probably because Universal has realized that this is the kind of title that would do better on Blu-ray/ DVD so they bumped up the date. Can't wait, should be awesome!

It's in 1.85:1 for about 99% of the film, but random shots in the big action scenes do go to 2.40:1, but only for a quick second or so. Part of the incredible stylization Edgar Wright and his team did.

Man, I really want to see this, but I also want to finish reading the rest of the novels first. I know I can technically watch it after book five, but I'll wait. This will be a day one buy for me, if it comes out in November I'll get it for my b-day and if it's out in January, then I'll get it as a late Christmas gift for myself.

I agree, I really loved this movie. I was extremely skecptical when I went in and my wife didn't care for it but I enjoyed it allot. A real surprise.
