Guy at my local Walmart told me that they're slated to be released this coming Tuesday, August 31st. Like Beazy said, $15 each. I wasn't going to buy them because of having to import them, but I might get the whole set now.

I tried to get the lady at my store to look them up and it seemed like I was talking in a strange language to her I had the SKU's and she acted like she couldn't understand me, go figure.

For $15 a piece, that's a darn good deal. Will definitely get all four.

Ironically, remember WM required all DVD vendors to cut packaging by a third, Wonder how the SteelBook fits in this equation?
So how will Walmart's carbon reduction plan work? The EDF gives us this example:
Quote:
A couple of years ago, Walmart asked one of its DVD suppliers--20th Century Fox--to be a part of a pilot for our project. They made simple changes to make DVD packaging lighter, which cut energy use by 28% and reduced the lifecycle carbon emissions of DVDs sold to Walmart by about 25,000 tons. It had a big multiplier effect, too, because the lighter packages were also used on DVDs sold at other stores, and the change evolved from movies to video games and software too. Small change--big cumulative effect.
....oh wait....

Its recyclable

It blows not having a Walmart in NYC, do you think they will put them up on their website?

call me weird but I think this will be rare. Walmart not knowing how much to order since they never had a steelbook before they might not order much.
