I hate those spines, but I love everything else. These Amazon.ca steels have great artwork.

I'm not digging this "trend" of having a giant ass quote taking up the top half of the steelbook cover. First NCfOM and now Memento. The title of the movie should take precedence before any quotes.

Well I'm incensed at the front cover, since it, unlike others, is not bilingual. Do they not realize that French-Canadian buyers will be confused by seeing a similar word without the accent aigu on the front cover? I doubt they some of them even know what the English word "memento" means.

For shame, Canada.

This is one of the new Canadian SteelBooks (amazon.ca), but I do not believe it is a retailer exclusive in Canada.

Man, got excited for a second there. Those bilingual spines kill it for me.

Just a heads up: if these Alliance discs are the same as the discs they've already released in standard cases up here in Canada, then Traffic is in 1080i and looks TERRIBLE. Alliance is garbage most of the time when it comes to their transfers... hopefully this isn't the case, but I wouldn't be surprised. If it actually uses the better transfer that the Universal disc used in the US then I might rebuy this.

Alliance always seem to use the US transfer for their rereleases, so I'm betting that's what we'll see in the discs. It's only when they release stuff before the US does where you see that happen. In some cases, the Canadian transfers have been slightly better, such as with the Illusionist.
