I hope the transfer isn't as sh!tty as the reg alliance release. I bought it watched about 10 mins of it then sold it a few days later. If it is different I'll be picking it up for sure.

The film itself is region free. The extras are in PAL format. So if you have a U.S. player, they will not play. But the film will.

Ask yourself why a Canadian Blu-ray release would have extras that are in PAL format considering that Canada uses the NTSC standard.

My mistake. I thought I was in the German Traffic Steelbook forum.

If this uses the new Universal transfer (1080p) and not the old Alliance transfer (1080i) I'll be all over it, avoiding a flipper-disc and a steelbook? Yes please

I can't say for sure which transfer it is, but it does have that menu system that Universal uses. So this leads me to believe that it's the Universal transfer. Does Alliance ever use that menu system when they do their own transfer?

I'm ordering mine next week. The B&N CC sale took priority.

Any chance this got made in lesser quantities than the other 9 SBs? I have not seen it anywhere in-store around here except at Future Shop. None @ WM, BBV, etc.

I really liked the extras from the Criterion Collection set that came out on DVD years ago. So I decided to make by Traffic a 2 disc edition and added the 2nd disc from the CC.

This is the one I've seen the least in stores in Canada, so I would guess yes.

For some reason some retail outlets never received shipment of TRAFFIC SteelBooks.

I own the same CC. And I have done that with many of my old DVDs that do not port the old extras to the Blus. U.S. Plastics is my friend.

Can anyone confirm about the PQ and AQ Transfer?? Does this steelbook contain the alliance transfer (which from what I hear was not very good), or the universal transfer (which from what I hear was great)???
