I agree. How does he keep getting his financing?

Uwe Boll should do the world a favor and throw himself in an oven.

Nothing but his own titanic attention-seeking ego, which all OUR jokes have helped fuel.

If you support Uwe Boll jokes, you support cinematic terrorism.

At the risk of sounding like a total idiot, I'm giving Uwe the benfit of the doubt. I felt he was halfway successful in doing what he intended on doing with his latest works ("Postal" was genuinely funny, "Rampage" was genuinely wicked, "Far Cry" was genuinely amusing, etc). His nihilism and ultra-violent sensibilities might make this out to be as disturbing and creepy of a movie as "Das Experiment."

That being said, I'm still keeping my expectations very low.

Yeah, but the financiers should care, and if he's still making movies most of those he made must have made money.Haven't seen one of his movies so can't express an opinion qualitywise.Which of his opuses gives the first time viewers the best experience?

Dr. Uwe for president.

If this ain't a fake: I'm still waiting for Auschwitz: The Comedy and Auschwitz the Video Game. One of pop-cultures last taboos needs to go away, Dr. Uwe is making a step in the right direction. Genocide has so much potential, just think about Sarajevo, Rwanda, the list of totally awesome sequels and prequels is long and promising. Torture porn is passé, let's have some geno-porn in mainstream cinema.

...where is the barf-emoticon, when you need it?

Are we even sure this is real? I saw this posted on Ain't It Cool News last night, and half of the talkback is convinced it's just some sick joke (either by Boll himself or some third party). I mean, in all honesty, I'm still having a hard time believing ANYONE would give Boll money to do a film on this subject.

As Harry Knowles mentioned, this could be one of the most tasteless films in cinematic history.

That's where I got the video from, but I never pay attention to any of the talkback. I'm not sure if it's real or not. It's not listed in imdb or anywhere else.

It didn't get a good reception, barely anyone reviewed it. And the ones that gave it a positive review are hardly top reviewers. Variety, one of the only reputable reviews it has, panned it.

I didn't miss any part. You clearly stated that this is a film that could change ppl's opinions on Boll and wonder why he has made some of the worst movies in history prior to this. In other words, you imply that the film may be so good that is has the potential to change the unanimous consensus that Boll is one of, if not the, worst director of all-time. And that's just absolutely ridiculous.

The Rotten Tomatoes community is divided fairly equally on this film (48%), so maybe, just maybe, it's not as bad as one would assume a Boll project to be.

I'm not defending the trailer for Auschwitz (to say that my senses were offended would be a gross understatement), and it's unlikely that this film (assuming it's real) would ever be mentioned in the same breath as Schindler's List, but I believe that each film should be evaluated on its own merit (or demerit). Their past endeavours shouldn't be factored into any review, even if their track record has always been rather unsatisfactory. Maybe he went for pure shock value in the teaser to generate word-of-mouth (gauging the responses in this thread, it appears to be working), but what if the final product was actually semi-respectable?
