this entire reeks of when Paranormal Activity came out...

- horror film? yep.
- bland cover art? yep.
- virtually strong dislike with many people curious about the film however? yep.
- less than 3.5/5 PQ? yep.
- abysmal assortment of extra features? yep.
- ridiculous price? yep.

The trailer did intrigue me and I thought about seeing it in theaters, but never did.

Please don't compare Paranormal Activity to Devil. No it's not AMAZING but it's no where near the horrible Paranormal Activity.

Plus the price will go down... considering IT'S NOT OUT YET

i don't know.
most films that aren't well received or have a large excitement around them tend to have higher opening week prices for some reason and then fall quite a bit a few months later.

Devil didn't do that well in theaters, it suffered from having M. Knight Shama-Lama-Ding-Dongs name on it.

However, this is one of his BETTER films. M. Knight didn't direct it, it's only based on his story.

It's not a horror film, so dont expect buckets of blood or gore, none. This is a suspence thriller, safe enough for my 11 and 14 year old to watch without any fear problems. I saw this twice in theaters and enjoyed it both times.

The reveal of the devil came unexpectedly and it was a fun journey to the end.

I LOVE movies with redemptive endings. This movie has a strong spiritual message at the end that is simular to SIGNS. This movie deals with forgiveness and redemption.

It's very character driven, much like most of Stephen Kings tales, but this one has a more satifying ending than most of King's.

I dont expect this to be a huge hit. It's not a blcokbuster, but it does have solid performances and a great story to tell.

I haven't seen this, and don't really plan on buying it either, but I think the artwork is really awesome. Don't understand all the hate.

i know you're a big Shyamalan fan, but you know he didn't have much of anything to do with this right? he wrote the story, but not the actual script for the film and was just a producer here.

so i don't know if you're buying this because you think it's a Shyamalan film or not, but it isn't.
