1)samsung un65c8000- I say yes because the motion judder cancel on/off and how awesomely slim these are.

2)Sony 52xbr-hx909- No because the sonys still have a little butt in them on the back of the TVs and I personally don't care for it

3)Samsung pn63c8000- No plasma for me because of how much I game, but if I had to pick a plasma for a non gamer I'd get the pani

4)Samsung un55c9000- No because its basically a wobbly screen attached to a base with all the guts in it.

5)Panasonic 65pvt25 - Yes if I didn't game so much for IR.

This is where my search has brought me so I'll break it down 1 by 1

Basically as long as you ditch all the Edge-LED model's and pick model with local-dimming LED or a Plasma, you're fine.

I think I'm getting the UN55C8000 from amazon this week I had a $200 monitor that buzzed and needed to be returned man I hope I don't get a lemon .

As for the differences between the sets you said

1. screen size
2. 3d
4. Contrast
5. precision dimming
6. Menu options (I think the 6500 is the only one that matches the 8000 in terms of adjusting certain settings)

I made a mistake. I wrote down the wrong set. Let’s try again.

What are your thought between these 2 sets?

Samsung UN65C6500- $4000
Samsung UN60C6300-$2499

I just checked Amazon and the Samsung UN65C8000 is going for $3499, it was $5999 the last time I checked and now its $500 cheaper then 65C6500.

Wow I can’t believe this. The price just went back up to $5999 on Samsung UN65C8000. I was shocked last night when I saw the price at $3419 but couldn’t pull trigger because of the 1-2 month shipping time and Black Friday coming up next month

Yeah good move, it should continue to drop in price. I'm sure the 55C8000 I'm about to get (hopefully this week) will be around 2000 by January 1st.

As for the

UN65C6500 and UN60C6300 the only real difference is styling of the tv and that the C6500 has samsung apps on the tv, and a slightly better contrast ratio.

Thanks for posting.

I’m still kinda upset I didn’t jump on that deal when I had the chance.

Hey bestbuy is running a special where if you get a 3d tv and the glasses and player you get 100 bucks off the final price if you let them come and calibrate it I went to get my tv today and I thought the guy was trying to push calibration service on me, but he said if you let them come do it for free we'll give you an extra 100 off I TOOK IT
