Saw the trailer last night. Looks like one big steaming pile...

Then again, I thought the same thing from the Paul trailer, but I actually kind-of liked that movie.

I'll rent it if there's nothing better to watch at the time.

I think it looks funny. I doubt I see it in the theater, but I'm sure I'll at least rent it.

^This^ When Ted runs into the room during the thunderstorm I almost lost it.

I'm certainly checking this out in theaters.

They shot this in Boston and a buddy of mine did some extra work on the set. I'll likely have to watch it sometime for that very reason

That was one of the funniest trailers I've seen in a LONG time. It does look like it has TONS of potential, but my fear is that they used all the good jokes in the trailer. But man, was that a funny trailer!

Trailer had me laughing at a few places, I know very juvenile but I can be that at times I doubt I will see it in theaters but I will see it.

Wow! Surprised at all the negativity towards this. That was some of the funniest stuff I've seen in a long time. I'll definitely be seeing this one.

I'm going to make a bold prediction:

2012 will bring the first Hollywood Comedy in years to be dominant in the Best Picture race: that's Ted.

If this is huge at the box office, critics, and overall likeability, this might get serious attention.

Really, a stoner teddy bear is going to become the film that pushes Hollywood comedies into the spotlight at the oscars

My thoughts....exactly.

I doubt Ted is going to be big. Probably make a few mills and then evaporate into the queue of movies that no one longer remembers.

Really, and you have a hard time believing me when you think it'll do a few million? That's not crazy, that's idiotic.

They'll probably even change the category to Best ****ing Picture while they're at it.

They live for that kind of thing.

And E.T. and Babe did it. If everything clicks and it's a huge hit with critics/audiences alike, it'll pick up support. Seth McFarlane is a talented individual (regardless of how FG is a shell of it's former self) and this will launch his brand like 40-Year-Old Virgin did for Apatow.

But hey... you jumped all over my opinion about Avengers so no surprise...

I'm gonna take a step back. Chances of this being nominated, zilch. Chances of this being this year's Bridesmaid/breakout comedy hit that'll be championed for the first R-rated comedy BP nominee?
Very high.

And chances are also strong it'll be better than The Avengers.

It may be funny, but I doubt they'll call it this year's Bridesmaids. More like this year's Paul (which I actually love btw). And why is it becoming cool to show people that you don't care about The Avengers? I've seen this happening a lot lately.
