Oh my...I've been downloading these episodes. I couldn't take my eyes off it. When he tells the cab driver in Mexico about the pelican swooping down and taking off with the chihuahua, I think I cracked a rib.
Please...someone figure out if this is region free. |

Maybe, but if you're intending on buying this you might as well just jump off from a bridge.
It's not bad but not a great series neither. |

Anyway - Season 2 has just been slated for release on BD in the UK on 11/21/11. It's also getting a bundled release (season 1 + 2) on the same day. Hopefully it's not region locked. I've picked up an Oppo BDP93 since I first posted this thread so even if it's 1080i50 (which is almost certainly will be) I'll be able to play it just fine. Looking forward to watching it, Karl cracks my shit up. For anyone in the UK watching it as it airs (who also dug the first season,) is this as good as Season 1 was? |

It's not as...I dunno...it doesn't feel as focused as Season 1. Lots of "here Karl, do this, there's no reason to but do it anyway" and very little focus on the main part of the episode at times. However...
It's still f'n hilarious. One moment in the Alaska episode had me in tears, rewinding over and over again, and I don't easily laugh that much. It's been fantastic. I think all round the concept and everything from Season 1 has worked better, but this just might be funnier. |

Sounds good. To me it was never about the central theme of each episode or how smoothly it was all executed or tied together. As long as there's plenty of genuine Pilkington action, that isn't all phonied up, that's all I care about.
Karl is actually a genius, Gervais is just the catalyst. Pilkington has no internal filter and no concept of convention. A genius abroad. |

Too many countries covered in too little time. Still funny though |

Thats my favourite episode of the series as well so far. I agree with all the comments about this series just feeling rushed with too much being crammed into each episode. Still just as funny though! |
