I'm glad we're getting The Color Purple soon, but I also really want Jaws, E.T., Schindler's List, Jurassic Park (only the first one) and the Indiana Jones trilogy.

To answer the original poster's question...

According to the oft-reliable site thedigitalbits.com, Steven Spielberg's A.I. Artificial Intelligence has been scheduled for a February 15th, 2011 release.

After seeing the restoration on Close Encounters (which I received a few days ago), makes me wonder if the real holdup for a lot of Spielberg's classic movies is that they are being meticulously remastered. CE3K looks like a brand new movie and is one of the best transfers I've seen for a 1970's film thus far, and we know that he is a perfectionist, so I wonder if perhaps the main reason we haven't seen Jaws, E.T. and Indy yet is because he wants to make sure they look as great as Close Encounters did (and please god, no DNR on Jaws and E.T., them being Universal titles always makes you wonder)

I was watching some show on The History Channel about how archeologists influenced Indiana Jones, and they had some clips from the movies... the show was from 2008, but those clips looked amazing in HD! Granted, it was HD Lite with lots of compression, but you could tell that these should really impress when they hit blu. The detail on the Holy Grail and especially the gold on the Ark of the Covenant was wonderful!
