A 10 min short and play second string to Superman in Smallville. He's a great character and could carry a show/movie so well. I'm surprised they haven't decided to do it yet.

Yeah I think he could easily hold his own show or movie given the chance.

Time Warner/Warner Bros own the CW network (along with CBS). So I wouldn't be surprised if they put it on there. I don't think Warner Bros has developed any movie or TV show based on DC comics and sold it outside the Time Warner family. They either appear on Cartoon Network, The CW, or if it's a movie through Warner Bros. Pictures. I think a potential Batman series will be kept in-house.

Anyways.. a potential Batman series is interesting. I wonder if it would be based on Nolan's more realistic view of the Batman universe? Would it focus more on his training?

I'll keep saying it until DC gets it done. GOTHAM CENTRAL.

[Show spoiler]

It'd be cheaper than a straight-up Batman action show, since he's more of a "presence" in these stories, and you get the occasional villain appearances as well. It has so much potential.

A News dated June 12, 2012:

Warner Bros. Can Now Produce Merchandise Based on 60s BATMAN TV Series!
Posted by Jett @ 1:00 PM on 6/7/12

Now this is GREAT news!

VARIETY is reporting that Warner Bros. Consumer Producers have resolved the legal hang up when it comes to the 60’s BATMAN TV show being able to be brought to the fans: Merchandising. Warner Bros. will now be able to offer official Batman merchandise featuring the likenesses of the show’s stars -- including Adam West as Batman, Burt Ward as Robin, Julie Newmar as Catwoman, Alan Napier as Alfred Pennyworth, Cesar Romero as The Joker and Burgess Meredith as The Penguin. WB will introduce these new Batman product opportunities at next week’s Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.

Brad Globe -- Warner Bros. Consumer Products head-honcho -- said the following in the trade‘s report: “For the first time in over 40 years, we will be able to offer fans a full merchandise program that captures the classic, kitschy look and feel of the original BATMAN TV show. This new licensing program allows our partners to take advantage of the characters, gadgets and humor that made the show a smash hit in its day and a perennial favorite decades later.”

Badass!

Here’s hoping that the TV series will be released soon, in Blu-ray, with TONS of bonus features! (Thanks to "John H." for the heads up!"

That story is not entirely correct. We are closer today than ever before to getting this version of Batman officially released on DVD and Blu-ray. It could still be a couple of years before Fox proceeds with them, as they square away other problems.
