I commented twice how this is different than what Sony did.

Did you miss it out of error or out of malice in your rush to bash blu-ray supporters?

Reviews say it's a pretty darn good player. Mind you, the reviews that I read are of the more expensive version, Inc VAT. Possible the Exc VAT is not as good, hence the give-away.

Nice deal, but looks like a panic move to me.

No one lined up in Aus to get a PS3 either on launch day I remember seeing the news casts from there and there was more media there than customers so what is your point. You are arguing that one format is better and that a move by one CE is better because it supports your mindset then if another company does something similar to that it is a desparation move one could argue the same about Sony giving away a 2500 dollar tv I am sure that stung them far more than 150 3-400 dollar players will sting Toshiba IMHO. I honestly do not care who wins this war it is the name calling by people on both sides that make me laugh at all involved honestly. So what happened to Denon and their 1.1 profile player that was pulled till atleast Q2 08 that isn't an resounding show of faith at all IMHO.

well the same guy who claims he or his dad has had 3 PS3 failures now this BS, yeah im seeing a trend.

Denon is delayed in Europe, which is nothing new for Denon and the euro market.

It would be the same if Toshiba or Sony or any other CE delayed the product delays cause doubt especially when a consumer is getting to drop 2K on a product.

Get angry and tell us how you really feel about blu-ray.

I posted the difference. Sony didn't lure people there with promises of free stuff. They suprised the people there who waited in line for it with free TV's.

The fact that you bash the PS3 launch as an abysmal failure when its success wasn't even previously in contention or even asserted shows your true motives.

Er no, Denon always release products later in europe. does that cause me doubt, er no. many many products miss there release dates. there not carved in stone.

Denon will release in north america, then a few mths later the players will come to europe. somtimes in the past this has been a good thing because any bugs get ironed out on the backs of NA consumers.

I personaly never expected Denon to release product to these markets at the same time.

so doubt, NO...anticipation, you bet.
