I'm really into horror movies! I love slashers, just sit back, relax and no thinking!

If you think about it, there's really only a few genres with everything else being sub-genres. I mean, take a sports movie for instance... It's still going to be either a comedy, a drama, a documentary or maybe an action flick. Even something as beloved as Sci-Fi is still part of a larger genre. Even musicals... They're still dramatic or comedic.

+1

The 3 I probably enjoy the most are SCI-FI / THRILLER / and ACTION.

The 3 I probably watch the most are COMEDY / THRILLER / and ADVENTURE.

BUT, I'm not so sure of HORROR... VERY picky when it comes to those

FAMILY films will definitely increase for me as years go by, probably the biggest growth of all the genres...
...not that I wouldn't like it

I could never get into ANIME or MUSICALS

Thanks Filmnut5... It's all about the attention to detail that Spielberg is so good at, the cast, the score, the story, it's all good

Horror, action, comedy, documentaries.

Why was Sci-Fi & Science Fiction both listed? Aren't they the same?

I like almost every genre shown, even though I only selected my "Big Three" (crime, documentary, and drama).

Each and every genre depends on one thing, and one thing only, for me to enjoy them: A story that I find appealing (in whatever way).

To narrow down. I stay in the following genres mostly. I occasionally spread out some, but mostly I stick in my areas of interest. A movie from about any other genre has to really speak to me to get me into it.

Fantasy
Family
Animation
Action
Comedy
Musical
Romance

Top 5:

Sci-Fi (really love a good sci-fi movie)
Fantasy
Animation
Adventure
Comedy

I enjoy a lot of the other genres, with Horror, Drama, and Musicals the ones I gravitate to less.

Where are the epics? I really love epic movies (Braveheart, Seven Samurai, Gladiator, etc....)
