Only the one, Avatar twice. Oh, I also saw the second LOTR twice because there was a sound issue towards the end so we got free tickets. It was painful sitting through it again after only 5 days. Not that the movie is bad, it's just too long to watch that often.

When I worked at a cinema I could get tickets for $2, so I went often, but I only really remember one film I kept going back for;

The Island (4)

Phantom Menace - 4 times
Attack of the Clones & Revenge of the Sith - 2 times
Titanic - 2 times
Dark Knight - 2 times

Those are the only times I remember going to a theater twice because I wanted to, not just because I was hanging with friends who haven't seen the movie before.

I think I saw lion king twice, but I was young so Im not sure.

I've never seen a film in the theatre more than once, because I just don't see the point since it's going to come out on DVD/Blu-ray later on, and you can spoil youself on multiple viewings as much as possible then, otherwise I think you're spending too much money.

There Will Be Blood.

Think I saw it 6 or 7 times, one of those films where you have a feeling this is something special/once in a generation type movie & I just wanted to take advantage of seeing it on the big screen as much as possible while I still could.

I usually only go to the theater once per movie. The exceptions would be:

"Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" (2x)
"Avatar" (2x, once in the IMAX)

thats definitley true now.
the first time i saw pulp fiction in the theater was October 1994 and the last time was April 1995. and it wasn't due on video until late 95. so i felt like it was worth it because i was dying to see it again. nowadays though the movie will be in stores a week later.

Off the top of my head:

Predator x2: Both on opening day. Saw the matinee with a friend and when I got home I couldn't stop talking about it with my brother, so he saw it with a friend so I went as well.

Toy Story: Both opening weekend. Saw it with my friends and then took my girlfriend to it.

The Dark Knight x2 on IMAX. Saw it opening weekend then again with my brother later that summer when I was visiting.

Pulp Fiction x5 Saw it opening weekend and then took a girlfriend for the second viewing. Afterward she turned to me and told me she couldn't believe I sat through that twice, needless to say that relationship didn't last. Saw it three more times at the dollar theater.

Big Trouble in Little China x2

Beetlejuice x2

America Pie x2

Titanic x2

Aliens x2

Die Hard x2

Matrix x2

Star Trek x2

Jurassic Park x2

Phantom Menace x3 The third and last time I was dragged there, almost fell asleep during the pod race.

There are probably more from the late eighties that I saw in the theater and then later at the midnight movies/dollar theaters.

Funny that I either own the DVD, Blu-ray or both of all the movies I've listed.
