went with ove 65" since I believe fits the spirit of the question better. In my HT I have a Projector with a 10' wide image used for movie & gaming, in the FR a 61" TV used for TV watching/recording. I also did not answer the second part since my HT can't fit a larger screen (but if possible I would go higher), 10' gives a height of around 5.5' and so it is around 2' from the floor (any lower and the front row would interfere with the viewing from the second row. On the other hand I am thinking of the 65" Pany for the GR, so that one could eventually be a bit bigger.

crazyBLUE I've always wanted to ask are you in an apartment? And if so, what do your neighbors think if your HT setup? Any complaints?

I currently have a 50" rear projection tv from Sony in my front room. Eventually, the 50 incher will be moved to my bedroom and something larger (I'm thinking 60 or 65) will serve in the home theater.

46" Samsung bought last year to replace my old 32" RCA.

Plan to upgrade to 50-60 but not for a few years. Waiting for the whole 3D fad to either die or become more economically sane.

I have a 46" set, so which one do I choose? I also have a 92" screen, so I guess you could say I decided to go larger.....

I recently moved up from a Sony 40" XBR4 LCD to a Panasonic 50" VT20 plasma. Gorgeous upgrade all-around. The 40" Sony is my bedroom TV now. Got a free Dynex 19" LCD which will go into my son's bedroom the Christmas, where the Sony S350 Blu-ray player resides. It'll be neat to give my son HD in his room.

United Kingdom My options are not shown above.... :(

On our main system (the living/family room) we have the 47" Phillips set. In our second system (the master bedroom) we have the 46" Samsung.

When we upgrade (maybe next year) it will be to a 3D TV of about the same size. I think that this is about the limit for the size of rooms that we have. We are sitting about 9ish feet away from them now.

I am not making any bones about this, as I know that it can cause some wildy differing opinions and heat.

As I look at either of our two TVs, I really wonder how we tolerated our 32" CRT Sharps 16:9 TV, it seemed so very small compared to our current monsters!

I use a projector with a screen that's 72x40 which I think means 83 diagonal.... Or something like that.

I wouldn't go bigger or smaller ... This is the screen size I want already.

At this point I am using a 50" Pioneer Elite Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-111FD but I hope that the 100" 2D/3D HDI Laser TV expected to be released next year will cost as projected and perform as well as expected.

If it does, I hope to purchase one next year.

We have a 57" Mitsubishi in our living room and 40" Samsung in the bedroom. I didn't mark the poll since 57" isn't an option.

50" Panasonic plasma in the living room. I had a 56" DLP in there but when I upgraded to the plasma I decided to go smaller because 56" seemed too big for the room.

I should have looked at the poll more closely. I answered that my HDTV is 32" (absolutely TERRIBLE cheapo walmart LCD set, I actually hate watching it more and more every day. I used to have a Samsung CRT HD display, which provided a far more staisfactory picture, but the power supply on it burned out about 2 days after the warranty expired; it still runs but it emits an absolutely terrible high-pitched screech), but I plan on upgrading soon.

I am currently working on purchasing a new house, and once that happens, my plan is to buy a 50 or 55 inch plasma. It gives me a good excuse to wait and see what Panasonic has to offer next year. I am hesitant to purchase another Samsung after my experience with my CRT and my current LCD, but I will be sure to look into next years' offerings from them, and reviews of their sets.
