I just had watched an interview of Riley Steele at an AVN event on youtube. She was asked what was her favorite scene in 2009?

I have watched 3/4 of Piranha 3D and I enjoyed the 3D effects in Resident Evil Afterlife 3D much more. It is difficult to understand how the same reviewer at Blu-ray.com rated the PQ for Piranha 4/5 and RE AL 3/5.
Particularly considering Piranha is a 2D to 3D conversion and RE AL is native 3D using Fusion and Phantom camera systems. At least they are both primarily live action films. I don't think you can make a valid comparison between live action and animated/CG releases, and that includes Avatar. http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/article...animated-oscar |

Just got my Canadian copie of Piranha 3D from Amazon.ca. Was really a good price. 20$ for it
![]() I didnt watch my copy yet, since i'm at work.... but something very interesting.... Because the US version of the 3D bluray seems to have the commentary tracks and the Making-of (10 featurettes) who's like more than 2h... but no deleted scenes or nothing.... So on the back of my bluray edition (Canadian), i can read:
So we all know what i'll do tonight and will keep everyone posted on what's on the disc ![]() |

I saw this in theaters and loved it...even liked the 3D. Wasn't great but wasn't bad. The 3D BD is awful. How anyone can rate RE:3D bad and then rate this good us beyond me. It is migraine inducing, eyes crossing, and cardboard cut out 3D. Colors are nice, and detail is great but the 3D is painful. No 3D movie at home or in theaters has given me such a headache. After 15 minutes I changed to 2D. Big disappointment.

I have the feeling that all 3D movies are good or bad depending on so many factors.... and alot of them seems to not depend on the disc itself.... but on:
We all want and expect different things with 3D. Some will want depth and 3-dimensional sceneries like Avatar.... but some will want some cheesy "In your face" effects... It's so funny.. because when a movie is done in 3D for showing a lot of "In your face" moments, some people will complain about not enough depth or etc.... and if it's opposite, other will complain too. And for all those reasons, i guess it's why some movies will get alot of different scores for Vidéo quality (especially in 3D). And all of this depend on the type of movie as well. Avatar is a serious movie... and it's why, you don't get any "In your face moment" compare to My Bloody Valentine or Piranha who's clearly not taking themself serioulsy. So for Piranha versus Resident Evil.... I thought Piranha was a great transfert. Amazing color (even in 3D), with some cheesy 3D effects who's part of the rollercoaster ride of fun.... compare to RE who's taking itself way too seriously and i thought some scenes were more impressive than Piranha but other scenes were barely in 3D (and i am not talking about all the director choices with all the slowmotion who's kiiling sometime the 3D. So it's all questions of perceptions, and of course on what equipement you're using.... But of course, we're all on the same page.... Clash of the Titans was just awful ![]() |

@Blu Ray 3D President
So I did watch the Piranha 3D (the Canadian Edition).... So i can confirm the packaging is wrong and not the right info on it.... It's EXCALTY the same edition that you can see in the US. Just commentatry and the huge documentary. No Deleted scenes.... and of course, with many trailers from Alliance Movies... like SCREAM 4. So for 19.99$ on Amazon.ca, it's a great deal ![]() |

I just finished to watch also the 2h long documentary... Wow... there's a lot of info on it
![]() So Piranha 3D is the perfect roller coaster ride... it doesn't take it self seriously ![]() |

The scene of the end of the trailer when Piranhas are close to the face of Jessica is not in the movie.... it was only for the trailer.

Someone described the yellow Mustang scene as being one of the deleted scenes on the 2D Blu-ray.

Highdefdigest just release the Piranha 3D review: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/4255/piranha3d.html And Just like RE:A, it seems so many people seems to experience different things. So i just feel like i said before, the 3D experience vary from users and also depend on so many factors (other than the disk itself). |
