Resident Evil Afterlife Wal-Mart Blu-ray SteelBook

I didn't see the other Resident Evil steelbooks anywhere,but it looks like they should be getting pretty many copies of Afterlife.I saw at least 2 or 3 boxes of them,and each box had maybe 25 copies in them.If i see that we got the other 4 in again i'll let you know,not sure what the price is gonna be yet either on Afterlife

Thanks for the response and info, I am hoping they are $15 like the other 4, but would not be surprised if higher because this is a NEW movie, the others were just a re release of the old titles in special packaging.

Not bad. I don't usually go to walmart to buy blurays. I guess I'll try to get there early and get one on tuesday. Anyone know what time they usually stock new releases?

This is great news! I was just looking at the REA steelbook on HMV, right before seeing this thread. My sister works at Wal-Mart, so I will have to see if I can get her to get me it, with a discount. Have'nt seen this movie yet, but I enjoy the other ones, and this will go well with my other RE steels.

I know at my store sometimes it is right at midnight, I go into my store at 7:30 am and "most" of the times the items are on the shelf, once in a while, but not very often at all,I might have to go back a little later, and I am talking about release Tuesdays.

I guess I'll be picking this one up to add to the other RE steelies I have. Walmart.com has the normal release available for pre-order up and it is priced at $23.96 right now (and that is 31% off MSRP), so I think it will be priced at a mininum of $19.96, but more likely something in the $22-26 range. Getting a newly released movie in a SteelBook for $15 would be killer, but I don't see it happening.

They have had all new releases 19.96 this season so I assume they may continue? I mean the others were 15.00.

23.96 is alright however the instore prices are always higher, either 24.96 or 29.96. Wal-Mart wont match their .com site unless you get a nice manager to agree.

Yeah, I'm hoping it is priced at around $20 like you say, and $15 would be sweet, but I'm worried because this one is coming out after Christmas, and the amaray is being priced at around $24 right now on-line. I don't think they would price the SteelBook for less than the amaray, but this is walmart, so who knows. The other Steelies were not new movies, but they had a good price point IMHO at $15 because if I remember correctly, the box set was being sold for around $30-$35, while the SteelBooks could be had for $45 (not including the 4th animation one). Yeah, they almost always have better prices on-line. I tried only once to get them to price-match their site, and I got shot down. Stupid policy to me, since all I had to do was order it on-line and pick it up at the same store I was at just a few days later. I don't see the SteelBook available on their site though, so the only way to get it might be in the store. I think this is how it was for the previous RE SteelBooks, as well as their SteelBook Exclusive of Boondock Saints II (on dvd back when the movie was released).
