i was at Gamestop once buying a game and they first tried to sell me a "new" game - one where the case is already opened on the shelf and the game is in a sleeve in one of their drawers ( ) and i was like, "whoa, whoa, whoa. no way. i want an actual 'new' one. you know, a sealed one. like every other damn store sells"

so they go and get one, sealed and all.

here's the super irony: i get home and open the bad boy up and there's no disc - at all - in the damn case! i returned it and got one with an actual disc (even though game cases are so fun to play with ) but i've never gone back there. i still wonder if they have a plastic wrap gizmo in the back room and wrapped it themselves and forgot to put the disc in it beforehand

I would keep it, isn't this the better version of Talladega Nights anyway? Wish my BB had it.

Is there a 'better' version of this movie? Would that be the blank disk everyone is talking about?

Man, that really sucks. And with more people trying to rip off stores, must be harder than ever to get them to believe you. I had a friend of mine buy a game boy game one time, only to find no game in the case! Someone must have bought the game, taken the game out, put a little cardboard in there and shrink wrapped it to return it!

I have to say, Talladega Nights was actually very funny for me. I traded a guy Stealth for it - so can't say I lost much there. However, I did end up selling it and made like $8.

You should actually play it, I had the same problem recently with Talladega Nights and when I compared the runtime and extras it is actually the Unrated edition with the wrong label printed on it. Just go to Wikipedia or IMDB and compare the runtime.

A buddy of mine bought a Nintendo DS once (may have been a PSP, or some other handheld gaming device, but I digress), and he took it home to open it up, and it was nothing but a big rock! Apparently, someone bought it, opened it, returned it, and this un named store accepted it, and put it back out on the shelf as a new sale without even checking the box!

i used to work at wally world and about 6 years ago they did this. i remember i worked in electronics and someone returned a tv and when we opened it days later there was 3 pieces of plywood like material in there and nothing else. and the guy paid cash, and signed a fake name on the receipt. ever since then we now open everything right away - DUH - never understood why they always didn't do it this way
