DTS-HD please!

When I hear that T-rex roar, I want it to scare the neighbours, lol!

Exciting news but I hope they get separate releases. I don't want the third one either thanks.

The third movie wasn't that bad.

Look at it this way. It wasn't as bad as Indiana Jones 4, lol!

I've never been able to accept the third one as being associated to the original film. I like Lost World just fine, but Part 3 just doesn't feel right to me. Never has.

It's enjoyable but maybe it's the lack of Spielberg directing, just feels so second rate. But for the inspired satellite phone ringing gag it's relatively devoid of the sort of thrills even Lost World has in spades.

Matter of opinion I guess. Kingdom might not have been as good as the originals but there were sequences in it that were stupendous. Sequences Joe Johnston could only pull off in his dreams.

Like I said. I don't hate JP3, I just don't feel it belongs with the first two. Much of that I believe is due to the change in director.

Not dissing Joe Johnston. I love Rocketeer. Love it!! And have high hopes for Captain America

Anyone betting on there being some sort of collectors edition? I mean something like the Alien egg.

All I want is a steelbook of the original with the original poster. Black with the logo. Just like the VHS cover art that never translated to DVD unfortunately.

The sequel with much the same poster with a steel look to it would also look great as a steelbook release.

What about the Aviary scene in Jurassic Park 3, that's is probably one of the most exciting sequences in the Jurassic Park Trilogy. Now the movie has its faults don't get me wrong but it has a lot of redeeming qualities.

As someone who has owned Jurassic Park on video (still have the booklet that came with it) and dvd I can't wait to purchase the trilogy on bluray. Lets hope that we all have a boxset that is worthy of the fans. Like I said on the main news page, I'd like to see either an extended version of JP3 or the deleted scenes. That is one of my main gripes with the third movie is how abruptly it ends.

I think JP2 was only ok, deffo not a very Spielberge esque movie by a long shot.
It was made just to catch onto the hype caused by first one.
I enjoyed third far more but yes it has nothing on the first one.

I would like a steelbook for this

A steelbook would definitely be good for this, although I wish we could get packaging like one of the VHS releases of the first film, where the box was styled like a fossil. That, for me, is still the best packaging the film has ever had, and I may consider trying to track an old VHS copy with that casing down.

I've never heard of that packaging. Do you have pictures?

Not sure if that's the one, but I like it because it's old school.

I'm probably one of the very few people who would rank the JP movies in this order:

JP - 10/10
JP2 - 9/10
JP3 - 9/10

I know a lot of people didn't like JP2 but Jeff Goldblum is my favourite character in the JP series.

EDIT: I mean the character he plays.

I remember that case.
I also had JP 1 and 2 on VHS and then 1 - 3 on DVD.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they released all the films together like with the Alien and Back to the Future boxsets because they know JP3 won't sell that well on it's own. I would still buy it just to have the complete set, plus I didn't mind #3 - I mean it's not a bad film, just rather average. The JP trilogy is a typical case of a film franchise going downhill - JP1; Great/classic film. JP2; Very good, just not as good as JP1, and JP3; ok/average. There are very few trilogies that can sustain a high quality throughout all 3 films, though I can think of a few (The Bourne films, Toy story 1-3 and LOTR trilogy, IMO)
