They've been around for years.

They tend to specialise in licensing Universal titles and putting them out with little effort. It's a shame that a better label didn't get this, but the same could be said for most of their catalog. It's surprising to see some of the titles that Universal are willing to license to them though - Ted!

Not sure if I've got anything from that company, I'll keep a lookout in the future.

I noticed some surprising titles they released recently - Twelve Monkeys, Born on the Fourth of July, It Came From Outer Space, Silent Running, Waterworld, Rumble Fish, Small Soldiers, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas etc. Surprising because some of them are DVD-only releases, and I'm surprised Arrow didn't get them through their Universal deal (nor Eureka, Indicator). And in the case of Twelve Monkeys/Waterworld/Fear and Loathing, I would've assumed Arrow still had the rights to those, though maybe Universal can sub-license the rights to a particular format to a few labels in the same territory (e.g. DVD, Blu-ray, VoD).

If that was the case, bad news for Cape Fear, but there's a slim glimmer of hope for Silent Running, Coogan's Bluff, Rumble Fish, Small Soldiers. I guess Silent Running and Rumble Fish could still be with Eureka (unlikely though?) - or maybe Criterion has the latter, and Arrow are actually going to port their version of Silent Running (again, seems unlikely as they surely would've announced it alongside the US release).

It would be great, particularly now that they're releasing 4K UHDs.

I watch it fairly regularly as it's one of my favourite Scorsese movies. The transfer on the Blu-ray does look a bit dated now; this is especially apparent during one of the best scenes, the assault on Cady and his 'Could you be there?' lines.

Would love it on 4K UHD disc, but not holding out much hope for that.

Pity. I was hoping this would get a UHD release soon.

Fabulous are releasing a 30th Anniversary Edition in September that seems to just mimic what they did with Duel - "All New Graham Humphreys Artwork with Reversible Sleeve / Double Sided Fold Out Sleeve Art Poster"

I just picked up the Fabulous BD (not the 30th anniversary). It appears to be the same VC-1 transfer as the 2011 disc with only English audio & subs. It has the same extras.

This needs a remaster or a 4K UHD now. One of my most wanted on the format.

As I've said in the other thread, the movie now DOES HAVE a new 4K master and is available on Prime Video Italy (and maybe other territories, as well, you should check).
