Back To The Future Part III, regardless of "how good of a film it is," can't be denied its rightful label of "pure and fun entertainment." Sure, it lacks in many conventional ways in regards to its concept and execution when comparing it to "the classics." However, the film is just too much damn fun to not enjoy.

P.S. My ranking of the three films is the same as the order in which they were released.

BTTF Part 3 is my #2 Favorite of the 3. IMO, I would watch Part 3 over Part 2 any day.

I thought Thomas F. Wilson's character, "Buford 'Mad Dog' Tannen" was a Classic

I love each movie, but I would place 3 above 2 also. There's more depth to the story, and I always found it harder to believe you could go in to the future and see yourself. Ok disregard the fact that nobody has proven time travel anyway. The producers seem to believe that to be a bit far fetched too, as it was more of a comedy than a sci-fi, so I'm all cool with number 2, i still love it for what it is... But not quite as much as the other two.

I would also rank them: BTTF
BTTF 3
BTTF 2

BTTF 3 for me is the funnest one of the bunch. I think after the dark tones of the 2nd one and the fact it came out only a year later many people just felt like it didn't mesh and was a step down. I myslef watched them on VHS when I was little so I didn't have these observations. I just loved them all, but I found the 2nd a little dark for my tastes. As I age I like the 2nd one more, but it still remains at the bottom of the list for me. That isn't too say its not a good film, though. It just can't beat the fun of the 3rd one.

Count me in as one who loves part 3. The whole trilogy is great. Each movie has their flaws but I don't read into them because they are movies. Just enjoy them.

Odd how Griff, Biff and Mad Dog all look a lot alike, really.

Well, like in most trilogies, the first BTTF movie was the best, and the others are just below the first one. I never hated BTTF Part III, and II was the first of the series I saw (you understand that it didn't make any sense at all, but I was still mesmerized by it). I never understood why it would get so much hate either, but I didn't think The Godfather Part III was the disaster most make it out to be, so maybe I'm not the one to ask .

I really like Part 3, Not as much as the 2 predecessors but I find it too be a fun and entertaining movie set in time which really helps separate from the original 2

I second that rank.Felt the second part to be too loud for lack of a better word.Think they tried too hard in the second installment. The third isn't perfect by a long shot, but is better than the second IMO.

I think this is the first time I've read Part III being universally considered bad. I've always thought it was a great film - my least favourite of the trilogy, mind you, but a great film nonetheless. Plus, Marty doing the moonwalk tickles me.

I enjoyed all of the movies, the first was definitely the best of all. The third is easily the 2nd best, at least in my opinion. The second, I did enjoy though.

Back to the Future III is more of a romantic comedy about Doc Brown. Also, Marty McFly finally "learning" his lesson about not reacting when about being called ckicken.
I liked it!

I agree the first is the best, followed by the third. The second is so clunky, sloppy, and pointless as to be nearly unwatchable. Lots of *action*, but very little actual narrative action.
