It's obvious the studio didn't know how to handle such a high profile release to begin with. Have you seen the transfers? I mean, come on. But really, this is such a minor problem, it's really not that big of a deal. Thanks for the heads up though.

Some people still complain about the transfers

Now if they offered a new PACKAGING replacement, I'd be all over that!

I hear the difference in the video when I listen closely, but it doesn't even sound like much of a glitch. With the sound effect going on at the same time, it makes it very, very unnoticeable. I'm sure I'll still miss it the next time I watch the movie.

Lol I might have thought it sounded odd, but that is seriously nothing to get into a tizzy over.

The some of you read in this thread I thought that it was a serious problem that once noticed is very bad. Knowing what the problem is won't bug me when I watch it.

Ok... Didn't really expect such a reaction. I'm obviously in a minority caring about such a small detail. I do agree it is only a minor flaw, and that most people probably would not even notice such a thing without it being pointed out. However, considering they fixed the same issue with the replacement DVDs it must be relevant to some.
Would not anyone agree that the point of blu-ray is to present a film in the highest quality available? It just seems a shame to me that greater care wasn't taken with this release.
Perhaps my standards are too high... I don't know.

You expected a reaction, just not the one you got. You expected everyone to agree with you and they didn't.

I've watched my set a few times, and never noticed that. Now with that youtube video that tells you exactly when to listen, sure I noticed it, but I don't see the big deal. It's really pointless to complain about. They aren't going to recall over something like that because 99% of the people who have the boxset aren't even going to notice.

LOL, the DVDs were replaced because they had serious framing issues, not because of this tiny glitch. How little do people have to have going on in their lives to worry about things as insignificant as this? I bet next time someone comes over to your house you're going to pop the disc in, go to this exact spot, point it out, and spend 15 minutes talking about it.

Firstly, I did not expect everybody to agree with me nor disagree with me.
I was simply pointing something out that is there.
Also, whether or not it is pointless to complain about is subject to opinion.
Lastly, I did not suggest that they should recall the boxset, I was merely posting this to inform others. Perhaps some people would rather not buy the blu-rays knowing this.

I do feel rather odd knowing that my opinion seems to strongly disagree with the majority here however, I must admit (although it may just be people who mostly disagree posting.) Not sure why I care about it... I guess I have very high standards when it comes to these kinds of things. I really expect better quality from blu-ray I guess (I thought that was the whole point.)

But really... I did not come here to argue.
And yes.. I have a life... and no I don't have too much free time (lol) Thanks guys.

Peace.

This was a waste of a thread and I really can't believe someone took the time to create that youtube video. Complete non issue. I never noticed before and will probably not notice again (and yes I watched the video)

It's just a shame this small detail was overlooked. Universal has no excuse considering they dealt with the same exact problem on the DVDs.
I agree with you! This is the issue that they had the same problem on a previously issued DVD set and failed to fix it so that it doesn't happen again.

1) I just watched the video, and I'll be honest - I can't really tell the difference even though it tells you so. /shrug

2) The OP was sharing an issue they had, we all have issues with Blu's one way or another, one man's "I don't care" is another man's "big issue". Sometimes the testosterone in here needs a little check. Just because you think someone's issue isn't important is no need to insult them and beat them down after.

Here's a thought...if you don't have anything more to add to the discussion besides insulting people for posting and dimissing them in your position of "I must reply to every thread I read", step back and avoid the thread.

I realise some may not care about this, but for a blu-ray that is advertised for having perfect video and sound it's pretty pathetic, especially considering that the release DVDs had the same issue (before being replaced) and they didn't bother to check such issues for the blu-ray.
Maybe a bad comparison. I was just saying that it's a very small error. But remember, when Universal first offered the replacement program for the trilogy on DVD, it was because of the major framing issues (which I know you already know), not this one error. My guess is when they were fixing it, they just happened to catch this audio glitch in the process.
When they decided to release the trilogy on Blu, they probably went back to older masters that still had this error on it, and maybe they had a completely different group of people working on it for this release . But since it occurs when Doc is looking through his little viewfinder thing, it just sounds like it's part of the sound it's making.
I just think that it's a little ridiculous that some people are demanding a replacement program over this tiny little error.

We're talking about a few seconds of something I never would have known about had it not been for your thread.

I did and if you had not notice it then you have real bad ears. Or maybe I heard something different - There was echo n Doc's voice n the Future. Is that the glitch
