Does Matt Damon suck as much as he usually does in this film? Might pre-order this if it's any good.

Oh you're so hilarious. I'm not allowed to make one single mistake once in a while? English is my 3rd language after all. Let's see how well you speak finnish.

Yes, True Grit is awesome. I suggest you go see it before the BD comes out.

Matt Damon always sucks, but with writer/director duo of the Coens it's not a liability. He just ends up looking like a slightly incompetent doofus who has no backbone, which is probably his natural state. That's what the character called for.

Sorry to be so harsh, but I just saw an ad for the Adjustment Bureau...my goodness does this guy have to be in any movie sporting a conspiracy theory?

I don't get the Damon backlash. Exactly what are these movies that he sucks in?

Personally, I think he's quite consistently good. In this film, I think he's excellent.

I don't think he was making fun of your English, more the fact that you gave him nothing to compare the "suck" to.

Saw this in the theaters and loved it! Can't think of a Coen's Brother movie that I didn't like! Day one for me!

June 7 is going to be big! (True Grit, Josey Wales, Clint Eastwood Double feature(s) and Infamous 2)

I agree. His nuanced performance in The Talented Mr. Ripley is a revelation. He performs admirably in True Grit as well. Even for those who don't enjoy Damon's performances, it's difficult to argue he's worse than Glen Campbell!

He's recently become one of my favorites because he can take serious roles and comedic roles, others cannot. So I'd actually like to get some more of his movies since I only have a few. Personally, I'd buy this movie because of him lol

Maybe getting shut out on Oscar night will prompt paramount to get this movie out sooner rather than later. I think paramount was counting on some awards to help prop this movie up (which it doesn't need in the slightest) for blu-ray/dvd sales so they could take their time and release it in June since they thought it was going to be a big Oscar winner.

That or they are working on a director's cut which I would wait til June for. Clean up the CGI in a couple of places (snakes and ride at night seem kind of bad...not awful, but distracting to some), edit out a few minor goofs, and add a few scenes.

Coming out in June, I'd expect something special being done. I can wait to watch it again but it doesn't make sense when so many movies came out either around the same time or after are being released first.

I really like both versions of this movie. I've seen this one twice already, and might go again at the 2$ theater. But I don't like how this version omits a bunch of stuff from the previous one.

I hope the BD of this is expanded with the 'missing' scenes. I doubt they brought in the asian guy Rooster lives with for 3 seconds of screen time. There has to be more on the cutting room floor.
