![]() But anyway, on the Cult Lab forums, it was confirmed that the full series set will be DVD only, and that there are no current plans for a BD release of the 80's series. Of course things can always change. |

What do you think the odds are of them releasing all five seasons in one box set like they did with the dvd? I don't know if I should start picking these up now or to just wait for a complete box set. I have the complete box set of all five seasons on dvd and I don't want to start buying the individual blu-ray seasons if they're only going to release a complete box set with additional features later down the line.

I don't see why a complete series of just the original series couldn't be released on blu ray without the 80's series, which could be saved for later. |

Especially as there's the 2002 series as well, while not considered in the same standing as the original still has some worthwhile episodes. It had a unusually large run 44 episodes for just one season.

![]() And i'm not sure if you noticed, but usually you save some money by buying complete series sets on DVD/Blu Ray, rather than buying invidual seasons. On top of all that there's usually a nifty packaging involved! (Sometimes with physical extras and what not) |

Well it's not phrased very well. I'll just have to agree to disagree. Besides, we all know that a lot can change between now and October in blu-ray years...;
I've never seen the new series, is it along the same lines as the 80's run? I think I watched the Masters of Horror series instead... |

I haven't seen Fringe so I can't really say.
I think The Twilight Zone could be described as modern 25-minute fairy tales, most often with some moral or twist to the story. Many episodes have mysterious or supernatural elements, but I would say this isn't really the focus, and that they are more about how these elements affect the characters. |

What an absolutely brilliant set this is - and with all the extras as are on the U.S. version (which wasn't the case with the DVD sets - which I never bought). I'll certainly be buying all the following volumes. The sub-titles look very odd - all dialogue is shown in large capital letters, which I don't care for. One thing that detracts from the overall appearance is the advertising label on the front cover which can't be peeled off - it's printed on the cover!
