Seems a touch to early to me. Yes Sony is out of the 60gb PS3, but stores are not. They would have to announce a 40gb for $399, move the 60gb to $449 or so and have the 80gb at $499. As Sony, i might worry about the 60gb systems sitting on store shelves. Or maybe they don't care because the warehouse is out of them.

But I think good for them. The price is what keeps most people away from the system. Second would be the game selection. I don't think the price hurts any blu ray sales as it is the cheapest Blu player already. And Blu is in the lead already. This would just help get the push in the format war, if more people can get the word out that it is a Blu ray player.
