I believe it's because at that time, Taco Bell was really only prominant in the US, so they changed it to a more internationally recognized brand.

Yes and I hope when it comes out, this thread doesn't become another Lethal Weapon fiasco

There are a few reviews around of the Japanese and French release, whatever they look like is what ours will look like as it's Warner and as someone who owned the French release I can safely say it looks damn good.

Warner have yet to release a previously censored movie on BD, I believe.

If we can get the Lethal Weapon movies out uncut and rated 15, three jabs to the face ain't nuthin.

I am not really sure what you are getting at ?

Are you saying because it is still cut on Sky the Blu-ray will be too ? If so that is just silly. Many movies are cut on Sky and not cut on DVD or Blu-ray.

The Matrix is an example of this.

Because the last BBFC rating if from 1998, so must have been the DVD and it says cut by 2 seconds.

No later rating listed

Whereas look at The Matrix say where you can see that Warner got the uncut version recertified in 2006.

I don't have this but I've been reliably informed that the UK disc is the same cut as the US disc.

Well I took a chance on the UK disc, and after watching the final fight between Stallone and Snipes I can confirm that the ear clap is definitely in there.

Strange though that there is no re-submission on the BBFC site...?

There are a bunch of previously censored Warner movies, that have been released on BD, with either no updates at all on the BBFC, or amended well after being released for retail.

Taco Bell my good sir!

It was my understanding that it was technically illegal to release a version of the film that hadn't been re-rated by the BBFC? Haven't films been pulled from the shelves because of that? (True Lies DVD being one example?)
