I'll pop in the dvd and post some screenshots when I get the chance, but they discuss it on the 25 Years of Terrors doc (highly recommended btw).

The first version is similar to the one used in part 6, then there's the horribly cheap looking one with the eyes sockets that are too big. The CGI mask is then scene where Michael kills the kid in the kitchen late in the movie. They show a closeup of it and it almost looks silver.

Yeah the CGI mask has always thrown me off a bit - hearing the story behind the multiple H20 masks in the "25 Years" doc was really interesting.

Seeing it theaters made me tilt my head and think "something doesn't look quite right..."

I remember very much enjoying H20 in theatres. A few years went by, and I checked it out on DVD. "Disappointment" barely says it.

I've always thought 4 is excellent though. 2 is good. And 3 remains the red-headed stepchild, despite being far more effective than most 80s horror films. I'd rush out and buy blus of any and all of these.

5, blah, though it gets a little better each time I see it. 6, double blah, but for curiosity's sake I'd love to see the producer's cut. And the rest, including the remakes, uber-blah.

The producer's cut is a lot better compared to the theatrical imo. It's just very hard to find because it wasn't officially released. But if you can find one, check it out.

I will be picking this up as I love the Halloween series well some of them. I do love parts 1, 2, 4, and H20. Part 6 is different and OK resurrection is the worst in the series part 5 is not that good but Danielle Harris is good. Would I buy the whole series maybe the completest in me would have a hard time nit having the whole series. For the record I liked the Rob Zombie movies thought they were different and decent(better than the originals hell no but entertaining and decent) Any way considered this pre ordered.

i enjoy the whole series but I really want Parts 2, 3, 4 and 6(producers cut) on Bluray. I know Daniel Farrands has been really pushing and getting as much info as he could about a future release of the Producers Cut. I would love to see it get a real release especially on Bluray.

I am very excited for this one to be released I just hope we get 2,3,4 VERY SOON!!!

I really enjoyed H20 back in the day. But there are so many other BD's I would rather spend my $$$$ on.

I remember really liking H20 when I was a bit younger. Haven't seen it in years, but JLC being back is enough for it to be at least entertaining.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I didn't enjoy part 2 very much. Halloween 3 is actually a great movie if you simply ignore the odd decision to associate it with the Halloween franchise. Halloween 4 was okay, 5 is pretty boring, 6 would have been better sans the cult non-sense, and what is this Halloween Resurrection everyone is referring to? NEVER heard of it.

Say what you will about the Zombie Halloweens, but at least they FINALLY got the mask right. When they have the plain mask in H20, it looks fine, but it is really all over the map about how it looks in each scene.

I also agree with others about Halloween Trilogy (1,2, and H20) and ignoring the other releases. Now, if only Halloween 2 would come out in a new director's cut!!

having the scene where michelle williams & jodi lynn o'keefe are watching SCREAM 2 is a bit of an overseen blooper. In the Halloween universe they know Scream is a movie-- a movie which has them watching... HALLOWEEN. LOL

Part 2 is pretty good, 4 is actually a lot of fun and H20 is ok for a 90s take on the franchise. I think both 4 and H20 actually serve really well as a conclusion to a trilogy.

I hate 5 and 6, hate, hate, hate!

8 isn't much better.

Zombie's remake I hate more than 5 or 6...haven't seen the sequel.

$9.99 is perfectly priced, but hopefully this doesn't mean that the quality of the disc is going to be poor.

I'll definitely pick it up though.

That's what has me concerned. That we'll get what we pay for. I've got my pre-orders, but am not afraid to cancel if they botch this.

What they did with Laurie Strode in HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION is inexcusable. Actually, that whole film is abysmal. Why, oh, why, did that sorry excuse have to be made? It completely ruins the impact of the last scene in HALLOWEEN: H20. I can't really pretend RESURRECTION doesn't exist, as much as I'd like to.
