Default Want a new Display badly - HELP!!

I currently have a toshiba 65 rear projection tv and it has been amazing since 2008 when i bought it. But my co worker just bought a 55" vizio lcd display and i was watching a movie called torque on tbs over there one day, and it looked phenominal. It looked like the movie was being filmed in front of your eyes. This must be because of the refresh rate right???

I believe my toshiba is 60hz refresh rate, and his i think is 120hz is that why it looked so smooth when panning?

Well i know vizio isnt that great of a brand, but I dont want to go much smaller than a 65" display considering I sit about 15 ft away from the tv.

So my question is, can i stick with rear projection and get those realism qualities of a lcd?? Or should i go with a nice led lcd?

I also dont want to spend more than $1200, any suggestions??

what do you guys think of this one?
