It's not a "problem on my set", it affects almost every 2010 Panny model in one mode or another. Some user's say their set's don't float in THX or Cinema, but see it in Custom/Game/Standard modes.

Do a search about it and you can learn about it. But frankly, if you and your friends don't notice it, then say a prayer and don't go looking for it. Once you find it and notice it, anytime you watch dark content it will bug the heck out of you.

Mmm... i must be lucky then, I've not noticed any floating blacks on my GT25 in THX or custom mode and i watch plenty of movies with dark scene's. That would really be annoying. I may have just jinks myself, Knock on wood.

From what I was reading, everybody was saying that was a problem with the 2009 models. I haven't noticed anything on mine and its from 2009

Rising blacks are on the 2009 sets

Floating and Rising blacks are on the 2010 sets

Sheesh! Then Panasonic is going to lose the hard core customers. I did see a Samsung 64" that was very impressive

I bought my new plasma just short of 2 months ago and I still love it. It's the Samsung PN58C550, very good blacks and great for watching sports.

I paid $1200 for it, but it's hard to find new now since it's an older model. I looked it up at Amazon and they have a few of "minor cosmetic imperfection" models for $1115.
