I saw this in 3D at the cinema and it is the only movie I found myself dodging in my seat! Very good 3D.... hope it transfers well to blu.

I saw the last one in a theater in 3D. It was titled Final Destination 4. That's why I am confused about the upcoming release. It make you think that you are getting the first in the series "Final Destination."

The last one in the theater was titled "The Final Destination". Part 4 was never used. They put the "The" at the beginning of the title because it was supposed to be the last one.

I remember that too. It was awesome. That is the 3D effect that I like. I like seeing things coming toward me and trying to dodge them.

Default The Final Destination 3D Blu-ray Review

Final Destination 3D Bluray (REAL 3D)

Presented in 2D and 3D: 1080p High Definition 16x9 2.4.1 DTS Master Audio 5.1 English:French:Spanish. Presented also In 2D.

Special Features 2 Alternate Endings . Body Count : The Deaths Of The Final Destination and story boards plus additional scenes.

I finally got round to checking this one out, it comes with a nice 3D lens cover, after having it sitting around for a while i finally got round to watching this one. The movie as we all know is very similar to all the other Final Destination movies but what makes this special is the 3D pop outs, the car race at the start will leave you jumping out of your seat as a screw driver flys out of the screen and the blood and gore flows from this moment on the pop outs never stop coming, for me this has to be the best movie out at the moment for true pop out gimmick effects that give you many jump of your seat moments. The movie does however lack in true depth but I am sure this wont disapoint as it makes up in many other ways for people who like there gore feasts.

My only grumble would be the story which does seem to drag and gets very similar much like all the other movies. If you havent grabbed this yet and are a fan of pop outs and blood and guts this one is a most for the collection and will show of your 3D tv when watching with friends.

Rating Movie 6
Real 3D 8
Pop Outs 9
Audio 8

I saw this in the theatre. The movie is a native 3D production and the 3D is mostly very good. However the movie is typical Grindhouse trash. 3D has been used as a gimmick (yeah Im using the word in this case) to trick people into seeing terrible Grindhouse movies for decades. Other recent examples are Drive Angry, Saw 7, My Bloody Valentine all included tasteless 3D used to draw people into seeing terrible movies. As a fan of 3D I wish it would be used to enhance more tasteful productions more often

I'd like to see 3D in more tasteful productions too, but I enjoy the gimmick aspect in films like this.

I also saw this in the theater and had a good time with it. I gotta say my better half and I really get a kick out the Final Destination series. Yeah, they are stupid - and part 4 REALLY is "by the numbers". The only innovation is the 3D. I suppose I could say it's a guilty pleasure, but I don't really feel any guilt - LOL.

I have had this in SBS format for a long time and love it. Very good pop-out scenes!

Well said.

@Jimmy: More tasteful? When we were watching MBV in 3D together a while ago, we both thought that the scene where 'some body' walked out angry with a gun in her hand was pretty tasty .
We only saw the rest of the movie another day (sorry, couldn't resist).

Saw this in UK cinemas in 3D and it is the most fun I have had watching a 3D cinema movie! Never before (or since) have I dodged so much in a movie!! I won't be buying it though, as I don't like the 2.40:1 aspect ratio for home 3D movies. Shame, cos I quite like the movie

FYI:

Even though Blu-ray.com has scheduled "Final Destination 3D" for release on August 16, 2011, in the last few days Amazon.com has:
Quote:
This title will be released on August 2, 2011
and now Best Buy has:
Quote:
Release Date: 8/2/2011

Warner Bros. Blu-Ray titles are almost always Region Free - and the old The Final Destination anaglyph release was all Regions, so I'd say chances are very good!

I picked this up today along with Rio. It's good fun if you like these movies. (Which I do.) It's not my favorite of the series but it's in 3D. Got to love the snake pop out.
