Absolute best BR news this year Well, one of the best anyways. Though "The Destroyer" is pretty silly. I will still pick it up all the same.

I prefered "Destroyer" over the original,
and always hoped there would be a 3rd movie in the series, as the end hinted to that.

wished also Arnie just played Conan in Red Sonja also

the new version just looks so-so. in the same league as recent oldie age fantasy sword play CGI ladened stuff which is swarming our mutliplexies at the moment.

It's kind of sad because just a few years ago, John Milius completed a script called "King Conan" that Arnold was extremely interested in doing. The studio had several issues with the script which delayed production. I don't recall if those issues were ever resolved but by then Arnold had become governor of California and was no longer acting.

I wanna get this but it depends on the transfer. If its not an outstanding transfer, then its not full hd. For you people who buy movies on the first day, do you not care about the transfer and buy it anyways?

At this point in BD's life, almost every release is an upgrade to the DVD version. AQ definitely, PQ for the most part can be good to very good, the biggest weakspot is in the bonus features. Too many good bonus features are not ported over.
Plus keep in mind that some people are very big fans of the film!

Most higher profile titles are reviewed before the release date.

And few Blu releases have "outstanding" transfers, so I guess to you most Blu releases aren't in "full HD" (whatever that means).

Man am I glad this was announced before I was forced to import the UK version of Conan The Barbarian! UK releases bother me so much because I absolutely loathe those stupid ratings logos on their covers!
