I went with Othello, since making the story family-friendly doesn't seem quite as difficult as it would be for something complex like Hamlet, Macbeth or Titus, especially when they seem inseparable from their depictions of violent death.

I chose Titus Andronicus even though it's probably the last thing people would associate with a kids movie...

Not sure these are very family friendly, but then again, neither is Romeo and Juliette.

picked hamlet, but i'd be interested to see how any of those could be made family friendly while still keeping with the themes of the original.

just had an idea: hamlet could be a little piglet. lame i know.

The Scpttish Play! Disney kinda did Hamlet already with the whole Lion King thing. Although I think shades of MacBeth were already used in Gargoyles though, I honestly can't remember.

Question Hamlet? Seriously? How about one of Shakespeare's COMEDIES?!

Terrible options to choose from, if you ask me. Where are the comedies? "Twelfth Night" and "A Comedy of Errors" would both be very fun, adaptable animated features.

I just don't see how the dark themes in Hamlet could be a family-friendly film, folks. I don't.

Antony and Cleopatra! It could be their "Prince of Egypt and the story is very similar, thematically, to "Romeo and Juliet." Although I'm sure they'd change the everything about it to make it family friendly.

Most of Shakespeare would either be way too dark for kids, or just not fun enough. But I guess Hamlet would be fun to see turned into a fun kids adventure
