I believe for the most part people like it for the special effects. The story old and borrowed as it may is still timeless and still proves that love can conquer all. Still think it is one of the best sci fi movies of all time but can respect different opinions

+1

I wasn't a fan of Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2. The first one was just killing ad nauseum. And the 2nd one had too much pseudo-psycho dialogue. But that's just my opinion what ever that's worth.

Hitting me where it hurts.

I don't understand why people like any of the new parodies (Meet the Spartans, Superhero Movie). These people should rent Airplane! or Wrongfully Accused.

I'm very upset with many of you! Especially the one who listed Saving Private Ryan and Braveheart

Pulp Fiction 2 hrs of foul mouthed, unpleasant characters that nobody would want to spend ten minutes with-- and yet everybody seems to cherish every moment with these lowlifes!

come to think of it-- add RAGING BULL to the list!

I can agree with that, give me a straight up hack and slash {with an entirely supernatural/unbelievable killer} horror flick but torture is just strange.

I don't understand how it's scary or funny. Other than the stupidity of it as you said
