Does it contain both the Deleted Scenes (3:28) that were present on the 2003 DVD and the Outtakes (14:53) or just the deleted scenes?
From what I can see, just the deleted scenes.

Echo Bridge might have just called them all deleted scenes if the total running time for them is close to the same (still holding out hope).

Isn't this an August 9th release? Even Best Buy's site is showing that date. For eight bucks I may double-dip, but the Australian (region B) release looks pretty darn good.

I will never forget that curb stomp scene. Also when Depp rolls into town and some dude is getting and head and almost shoots him.

The disc is 1080p. The PQ has a huge amount of noise, but it looks fair. Audio is DTS-HD 2 channel. It also has some bonus features, which I didn't expect - some deleted scenes and a music video.
Please tell if it is region-locked and if it has any subtitles?

If anyone with the title in their possession is able to take screenshots and note the timecodes I would be happy to do matching screenshots from the Australian release. That way anyone concerned about Echo Bridge's previous history would know how the title compares.

WTF? I just bought this at Best Buy a few minutes ago. The artwork is the one pictured on this site (with the red & yellow lettering, Depp is facing to the left side, etc.), but it has that sort of "xeroxed at a Kinko's 5 minutes ago" look to it - especially the back artwork. The kind you see on bootlegs, but it says Echo Bridge Home Entertainment - maybe that's just how they do.

It was only $8. When I get home tonight, I'll pop it in and let yall know how she looks. Fingers crossed!

It seems that Echo Bridge is into releasing the cheapest video presentations humanly possible, let's hope they treat this masterpiece with some respect.
As much as despise most of what Echo Bridge does, and there's really no excuse for releasing a letterboxed DVD in 2011, to be fair, Miramax/Dimension DVDs weren't anamorphic for a long time. Pretty sure their 2000 DVD for Dead Man was letterboxed, as well, wasn't it? I don't own it, so I could be wrong...but I know Miramax kept releasing letterboxed transfers long after all the others had gone strictly anamorphic.

The cover on this site was updated by OrlandoEastwood at some point after the post mentioning the cover was different. That post makes less sense out of context now.

I give the PQ on the Echo Bridge BD 3/5. A lot of digital noise in low-light scenes (black screens look almost like a VHS transfer), but it's still a good upgrade from the DVD to have. I'm happy to have it.

This is the cover I was talking about:

That's what I have.

Did anyone confirm that the deleted scenes on the Blu-Ray are the deleted scenes and outtakes from the DVD mashed together?

There is a review up on another site that says they run about 15 minutes on the BD so I would presume it means that all of the ones listed as outtakes from the 2003 DVD, with a combined reported running time of 14:53, are present on the BD but the ones listed as deleted scenes on the 2003 DVD, with a reported running time of 3:28, are not present on the BD.

Not owning the 2003 DVD, I am not sure what those 3:28 of outtakes might have been and how disappointing their omission may be (beyond the lack of quality control/care that would probably have been the cause of them not being ported over with the others).

That other site has confirmed that all of the deleted scenes/outtakes from the 2003 DVD are present on the BD (in addition to one additional one that wasn't). The running time discrepancy appears to have been erroneous info listed on DVDBeaver and DVDCompare (not sure what sites are allowed to be mentioned but I think I've seen those on here before).

Okay, then, thanks for clearing that up. So that was one of the exceptions to the general Miramax rule. Echo Bridge is still no guiltier than Miramax was when it came to movies like Good Will Hunting. Letterboxed transfer for a film that won multiple Oscars? That was the Miramax Way.

As much disdain as I have for Echo Bridge, for their handling of virtually all of their BD releases, I just can't fault them for releasing a letterboxed transfer of a Miramax film, when even Miramax didn't consider most of their films worthy of anything better.

From what I've understood Echo Bridge releases do not have any subtitles. Just a bare bones copy of the film and if you get lucky some extra features too.

Cool. Still waiting for some screenshots on here or Beaver, but this might be the one and only Echo Bridge release to date which could be worth picking up.
