Dunno if this'll be the cover art, but I saw this crop up on MB's Facebook page:

Also, I managed to finagle a bit of info from them about the HD transfer. Apparently they are NOT using Fortune Star's (alleged) HD transfer and going their own way with this. While this obviously means we won't have to worry about a potential FS upconvert (like all of the Kam and Ronson blu-rays that weren't the Bruce Lee movies), who knows how this will turn out otherwise...

Well, considering the only official version I have is the Mega Star/Media Asia DVD from circa 2000 (which Media Blasters apparently shamelessly used as the base for their own DVD), this'll certainly be an upgrade

However, they're also releasing a new DVD using the same new HD transfer, so let's see how different they look.

NC-17 sounds good. I believe it's completely uncensored then?

There was an "HD Remastered" DVD released in Hong Kong a while back, and man it was nasty looking. MB's transfers have really been all over the map, but it's still good to know they aren't using the one we already know is bad.

All of the prior English-friendly DVDs have been uncut, so if this one isn't there'll be hell to pay.

according to Amazon the dates been pushed back to 11 October. Not big surpise there i guess as it is Media blasters.
Has anyone seen a screener/review copy? I can't find any reviews online so I'm assuming nothing has been sent out as of yet.
anyone help?

This and Dead Alive (Brain Dead) coming out at the same time will make for a very bloody day in the home theater

Seriously, who didn't see a delay coming a mile away? Whoever is currently running the company REALLY needs to get things straight when it comes to setting release dates. You know: only set a release date when you know 100% that you can make it!

You do know how Media Blasters functions, right? It's been frustratingly habitual for MB to set a release date and then delay it multiple times. Like I said above, since the delay seems shorter this time compared to the September-to-October jump, there's still hope. Only problem is once it *does* finally come out, supply is scarce, even on Amazon. Hell, took me forever to get the blu-ray of Zombie Holocaust.

I missed this post earlier, but I have to agree! As I'm sure is the same for most people on this forum, I'm usually the pro-subtitle kind of guy. However, Story of Ricky is far more fun with the over the top dubbing! Specifically the voice actor for Fan Mei-sheng, the actor who played the assistant warden. I think he's one of the "old school" voice actors from the days of Shaw Brothers, but he really goes all out, right down to making random noises to match the faces FMS makes
