It's not needed to be on a separate disc. The DVD only had, what, an hour worth of material?

Each film can be on its own disc with an AVC encode, DTS HD-MA 5.1, and carry hours of SD material. If Universal treats this like the Back to the Future trilogy, all SD bonus material from that four-disc set should make its way over.

However, hopefully they won't use such itty packaging this time.

I thought 3 was an "ok" film. My favorite part was when the pterodactyl lands on the bridge with the kid...I thought that was terrifying at the time...then again I haven't seen it since high school so I'm pretty sure if it was "ok" for me then it will be bad now. I won't mention The Lost World.

I'm in for the regular trilogy box set. I didn't care for Lost World, but I am a big fan of 1 & 3. I also thoroughly enjoyed Crichton's books of which the two films are based on.

What highly mediocre packaging? The UK import was far better compared to the utter hit USA with Digital Copy crap one. If need be yes I'll import again from the UK which I did for Back to the Future.
So two more Spielberg and another Johnston. Wonder if this'll prompt Disney to make a Collector's/whatever they want to call it for THE ROCKETEER. But it isn't Universal.

Boxset for me and I bet I'll be importing it from Amazon UK until other announcements for the USA release are forthcoming. But yes I still bet I'll be importing anyway.

I'm really not crazy about these films but did think part III was fun, it was a B-Movie, short and to the point.

I'd rather have JAWS and cannot believe that has not been released yet.

We should've seen JAWS in 2010 for the 35th Anniversary but nyet, Universal didn't want to I take it.
I think I might go for the fancy boxset but I'm just gonna put the Digipak thing on my shelf anyway. IMPORTED from the UK.

EDIT: nolfoc, why don't you have The Last Samurai imported from Hong Kong? It has a lossless audio track.

I found the third movie entertaining too. I liked the forest environment and feel...and the CGI, of course, was a bit better too than the first movies.

I have to disagree on that. While some scenes looked fine (the raptors & the T-rex), lots of the dinosaurs just looked like cartoons, especially the brachiosaurs. I don't know, I liked Lost world but didn't find the third one very entertaining at all, but I'll still buy the box set.

I'll probably pick up the box set. The first movie was the best IMO. It deviated too much from the book in critical areas though.

All three for me! The first one of course is magic, while the other two while not as good but still enjoyable.

Nothing has been confirmed, so I'm not going to get too excited about it. What I've perceived from reading the article, the studio is discussing the potential blu-ray release of the Jurassic Park Trilogy. Once again, an official release haven't been announced.

It's everything short of a press release: a release date and pics of the packaging.

This is how the Superman boxed set started...with info shortly to follow. Same website.
