I think it will be a better game. I don't think it will sell nearly as well as Halo. Not that I think that Halo will be a bad game, it's just not my style.

I do. It will be on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Will be good on 360, better on Playstation 3, and best on PC.

Don't get me wrong. I'm looking forward to some UT3 action myself. And hoping and thinking it has the potential to be waayyyyy better than Halo 3.

But... at the same time... I don't begrudge my 360 compadres.

I don't know why everyone has to hate just because it's a product for the 360. It's multiplayer shooter done really well.

thats a different type of game though....how many hrs can u hack and slash before getting bored?...lol....but Im just saying for all the hype, I figured it to should be longer and such....

because it a great game no matter what does the people trash it.. if you ever have a chance try it .. ive got halo 3 since a week or so. last nite at midnight the server is up and running its a blast to play it online raally lots of weapons vehicules..... game modes. etc etc etc

I sure hope you obtained it legally... otherwise stealers go to Hell and have to watch HD DVD for eternity.

Of course I'll play it whenever I go to my friends house, but I used to have a xbox and really tried to play Halo 1 & 2 but I just couldn't get into it. Believe me, I tried to get into it because the hype was so thick you could see it in the air. I really thought that I was missing something... No matter how many times I played Halo I felt that I was just going through the motions of playing without actually enjoying it. Maybe Halo 3 will be the greatest game of all time, but if the previous two releases are any indication, people are buying it just because it's "Halo 3" and a required purchase for 360 owners.

Everyone has there own tastes in game, you don't care for Halo and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm not fan of any kind of sport game, but there's still big sellers and for a lot of people good games.

Why do people like Halo so much? What sets it apart? Just something that gained a large community because it was the first/big fps on Xbox?

I can't speak for the story mode, as I've never played the campaign on either of the previous games.

All I know is that the multiplayer split screen stuff is some of the greatest times I've had playing video games with my friends.

What sets it apart and makes it better than others? Again... I don't know. Some of the customizations in 2 were nice. I still want a shooter that allows you to build a character like in Tiger Woods golf. Then I could "REALLY" shoot my friends and that'd be awesome.

To be open minded... it's probably not much different than other multiplayer shooters... I've only played a few. I just know I have a pretty fond history with it, and expect the game will have even better multiplayer options.

I never played Halo 1. i bought halo 2 and i didnt care so much about the story mode. The online play is what I love. alot of my friends have halo 2 and are getting halo 3. I think its really really fun. but like what been said, it's personal taste.
I went to two gamestops here in miami and they have tons! of preorders. One of the managers of the gamestop that i always go to that i know said that between all the ebgames and gamestop that are selling halo 3, they think it's going to sell more than any game ever in a 48 hour period the ways things are going. so we'll see.
by the way heavenly sword is short but it's a good game!

i dont know what you mean wit legaly but maybe you think i got my console with chip? no way i got around 65 games plus some games i lend to some friends.. and all of my games are original as well the 18 games i got for ps3

Well I can't speak for everyone but I think like with any game the main reason is It's Fun.

Maybe you don't like it and that's find.

For me.
Halo 1 - had a good story with a great soundtrack. Multi-player wasn't bad either.

Halo 2 - had an ok story and the main focus was on online Multi-player which was alot of fun playing with and against my friends.

Halo 3 - Multi-player should be fun and they added alot of new options. Story - I'll have to wait and see on the story part, but they added online co-op with up to 4 players so the story mode should be pretty fun.

But like I said before it comes down to your personal taste.
