I guess it's safe to assume this was a false alarm? I don't see any pre-order up for Amazon.

Looks like I'll be importing it.

Well, in addition to that, Oct 16 is a Sunday. Since when are Blu's released on Sunday's?

This just doesn't seem legit to me.

Clearly this isn't coming, at least in the foreseeable future. A misunderstanding based a blu-ray edition that never materialized alongside last year's dvd release.

IFC Films happened to it. They really don't seem to focus on Blu-ray.

I am not sure they are focused on anything at the moment. There have been some pretty incredible complaints about their theatrical releases this year as well. A lot of people are very upset.

The thing that irritates me about some of their films is that I can watch them streaming in HD on Netflix (The Chaser, Map of the Sounds of Tokyo) but they're only available to purchase on DVD.

I was interested in getting the Korean blu-ray, but looking through this topic makes me sad. Since all hopes of a new Region A release diminished a year ago, is the Korean version really that bad?

Sorry to revive a topic that's been dead a few months but I'm wondering about this as well. Just how bad is the Korean release?

Compared to the alternatives currently available? It looks completely awesome

Any recommendations on where to buy it? Bonus points if I can also order the Korean BD for The Thirst.

I had a place (that I can't remember the name of) that I was going to order The Thirst from, then I saw that Deep Discount had the import, for less money, and without the international shipping.

Now, my order with Deep Discount has turned into a "pre-order" and the product doesn't exist on their site anymore.

*sigh*

Screw the naysayers, the Korean BD is not that bad. Besides, what are your options?

People who complain about DNR and EE must watch their movies frame-by-frame.

Would I like a better transfer? Sure. But the copy I have in hand now is fine by me.

I'm not a fan of DNR or EE but I agree some people exaggerate about it. Then again, have you seen Predator: Ultimate Hunter Edition BD? If so, you couldn't possibly argue with those who hate it for its completely out of control usage of DNR and EE. So, not all those who complain about DNR and EE are nutjobs like you may think.

I've been hearing that it's becoming harder and harder to find so I went ahead and ordered it from here:

Apparently they're really excellent. There's 6 left

I placed an order with Han Books for both Memories of a Murder and The Thirst. Neither have shipped after 22 days so it might be time to cancel that and try out eBay.

Best you do so. Apparently it's been OOP for a long time. $40 is a very reasonable price considering that's basically the price it would've been when it was in print.

I actually got this on DVD about two week's ago or less from a used store but basically got it for free as it was by 3 get 2 for free but you are paying for the higher priced titles and get the lower priced one's for free. I will be getting this and upgrading either way on bluray too.
