SPEED RACER!! #1 best reference video blu-ray on the format, IMO and a crappy DD sound track? Hopefully they will do a re-issue with a proper lossless sound track but I doubt it will be anytime soon.

PQ is never really bad and at times is very good but it does get a bit waxy at times.

Similarly, the lossy Dolby isn't exactly bad but it could definitely be better.

This isn't a bad transfer by any stretch but every time I pop it in I can't help thinking about how much better it could be.

Uncle Buck, Child's Play, Total Recall and Chaplin come to mind. The PQ on all of these suck big time!!!!!!
National Lampoon's Vacation needs a better transfer.
Last but not least...wait for it...wait for it...wait for it...The NeverEnding Story; Someone should find out what the correct PQ should consist of in regards to contrast, brightness coloring, etc., as there has never been a definative answer. I think the Dutch blu is head and shoulders way above the US release, but others differ.

All need lossless audio tracks. I'm always baffled as to why blu-ray releases sometimes don't have a lossless track. Thankfully the US release of The Island does (finally), as does the UK release of T3.

Bourne Identity -- the video is not very good in the first Bourne film, but worst of all is the audio, which you have to turn up to hear dialogue and turn down during action scenes. Very annoying.

I know some receivers do a better job than others in offering various "midnight modes" to squash these out-of-control dynamic ranges, but it would be REALLY nice if the disc would simply come with a soundtrack already perfectly balanced for home theatres.

Independence Day - needs to have the Extended Cut added, like the DVD does.
Iron Man - needs a commentary track by Jon Favreau, to match with the second film.
Lost in Space - new extras would be very much welcomed.
The Phantom - nothng but a trailer; something's wrong here.
Terminator Salvation - extras are only available through BD-Live, which completely sucks.
Voyage of the Dawn Treader - reframing it to match the first two wouldn't be a bad idea.

What? Extended cut? I had no idea Independence Day had an extended cut. I never owned the DVD, went from the VHS to the Blu-ray, is there a lot of footage?

Ninja turtles collection, they had pretty much no special features. The transfer could have been better, but over the dvd the improvement was very significant. As huge turtle fans I think we deserved some special features, I for one really wanted some audio commentary at the very least.

I'm only typing from memory and haven't googled but I think the extended cut is only 3 or 4 mins longer. I still wish it was on BD though!

It's 8 minutes longer and it is indeed an extended cut and not the director's cut as that is the theatrical cut. There's nothing really substantial added. It's just added bits of dialogue here and there. http://www.schnittberichte.com/report.php?ID=587558
