Too many titles unavailable in Blu-ray that ARE offered by the studio/distributor. |

They lost me last month, wasnt even the price since my price would have stayed the same. I just never used the streaming and their arrogance really pissed me so I decided not to support of company that showed so little respect to their customers.

Only staying for the kids (downgraded from 1disc + online to online only), but might rethink that in March after they lose Starz/ Disney.
Redbox working great so far, and if we really -have- to stream something, PSN store or DirectTV on demand are expensive but always available with brand new releases. |

I won't deny that streaming has its uses, but if I really love a film (or TV show) then I want to own the physical, officially created media in all its' hi def glory. |

As long as pricing doesn't change, I don't care that much.
Mildly annoying to have two different websites. But I mostly access streaming through my Xbox only (and just search for things if it's not in my queue) so no biggie for me. I'll likely drop streaming when I finish a couple TV shows anyway. |

You know that's not how real people think. Me, I use Netflix streaming as TV. PERIOD. I don't sit and watch a movie every single night, some nights I want to flick channels and find an old rerun or random movie I haven't heard of. TV doesn't show them anymore. It doesn't show movies because the studios won't let them, it doesn't show old classic reruns because the cable networks want to support themselves on marketing new cheaply-produced reality series for corporate identity (and if it's a Viacom-owned channel, most of them are too gay/celeb anyway), local stations won't show local programming anymore because the networks have plenty of all-night news and poker to keep them filled, and Warner and Fox have bought up all the UHF stations that used to survive on syndicated fare, although nothing's syndicated nowadays that's older than "House" or "Seinfeld". ![]() TV has betrayed its own generation. We must look elsewhere. And I had TV for years in the 80's and 90's, and it didn't stop me from watching my movies on tape and disk. Streaming is your specific-need servant, not your enemy or savior. And yes, long-live Blu-ray. That one gets saved for company. ![]() |

Streaming for $7.99 a month is a great deal as well as long as there's sufficient content. Currently there's still plenty I want to watch. I more feel like I waste money when I buy movies or shows since I so seldom rewatch anything and don't care about building a film library anymore--useless if you don't rewatch much. Makes more sense for me to rent, and mail rental and streaming is much more convenient than local stores or redbox that I have to hassle driving two both to pick up and return each movie. |
