You got it!

As long as I can complete my colletion im happy. I really want an legit relrease of Halloween 6: the producers cut. I own it on bootleg but not the same.

Lets hope we get features on H3 and new features on 4 and 5.

I would also love a proper producer's cut release. Much like RZH2, the differences between their theatrical cut and producer/director cut drastically changes the perception of the film. I actually lost my copy which sucks.

After the h2 releaser, I'm hopeful they'll at least have some goodies for H3, and hopefully they'll at least port over the bonus materials from the divimax editions of H4 and H5

Anchor Bay blows. They used to be THE great genre studio for releasing obscure horror. Now, they stink. But, I'm happy these are coming....if they are. Should have already been out.

Can someone please fill me in and tell me what 4 is about? I can't recall. Other than the obvious?

thats because Lustig left. they should just give the rest of their horror catalog to him, he clearly has a true respect for the films and the fans.

4 is arguably one of the best sequels. Laurie is supposedly dead after a car accident, and her daughter (played very effectively by Danielle Harris) is living with foster parents. Michael has been in a mental ward for 10 years and has pretty much "given up", until he hears that he has a niece from one of the doctors. Then all hell breaks loose.

It's a really intense entry in the series, and imo has the best ending out of the whole series.

Great news but I'd guess we'd be waiting 11 months or so for these to hit retail. Anchor Bay has made some odd decisions lately, but I can't imagine them putting out Halloween movies in February.

I'm really shocked they didn't hit this year. Those are both cash-cows for AB.

I picked up a bootleg of the Producer's Cut on Ebay a few years back. A very different version of Curse for sure. I don't think we'll ever see it hit the light of day with an official release.

Anchor bay released a complete series DVD set with Halloween through Halloween Resurection over in the UK bak in 2004 so never say never.
If Anchorbay wanted they could probably talk the various holders of the film rights for each movie into releasing a bluray boxset if not domesticly than in the uk or other regions.

They actually have Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 and the 25 Years documentary for $5 each at Wal-Mart in one of those dump bins.

Fantastic news (hopefully the special edition and not the Divimax color timing for 4 though). Now I'm just hoping III will release sooner rather than later, and maybe Anchor Bay will complete the Compass/Trancas horror catalog with a release of Hell Night soon.

I believe the rights to Halloween overseas vary from here.

Someone at DVDTalk who is in the know says Trancas has dug up some sort of cool vintage materials for this release. Excited. Hopefully they do come out sooner rather than later; I'm hoping not wait until next Halloween.

3 films crammed onto 1 disc isn't what I would call "proper" either. Let's not turn this into a EB-bashing thread.
