They do play it at almost every show in Montreal, there's a connection with this particular song, don't know if it's the same everywhere but my buddy who's THE ultimate fan sees them in Montreal, Quebec, Toronto and anywhere in a 6 hour drive and says that Rush seem to have a true love affair with Montreal and Toronto in particular, they seem to want to please even more if that's at all possible. But you are right they skipped it last tour when they did To and Mtl at the beginning of the tour and the end. A powerful song live, gives me the chills every time

Darn good list there John, we share a few also. Surprised to see Marvin Gaye so low (being relative in such a list)

Like I said..it was off the top of my head. The only one I knew would be first was Comfortably Numb. Stevie Wonder was higher up the list as I've been playing him quite a bit this last week or so....who can tell what next weeks will bring though.

Nice list John. Your love of "Bluesy Rock" is well represented. Old school "Mac" was particularly nice to see.

My first 2 songs are really the ones , specially scorpions since it was the first song that i learned to play full on the guitar , all the rest can be considered as al of them # 3

Any form of the G3 i that comes to Montreal i have to see , more for Vai than Joe .

Weird Al's been a favorite of mine since middle school.

I thought I picked some pretty mellow songs by some of these bands, but it's true that the bands themselves are quite loud. I'll bet that some of the other metal-heads around here could come up with even heavier lists.

Thanks for the comments! If you look up the songs, I hope you enjoy at least one or two of them.

Great thread!

I am YouTubing some of your guys selections and then downloading them from iTunes.

OK, here is my list.

The Sex Pistols - Submission
Band Of Joy (Robert Plant) - For What It's Worth *cover* (the shape of things to come)
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Lynyrd Skynyrd – One more Time (I really wish that radio stations would play this more as it’s fantastic!)
Shooting Star - Last Chance
Led Zeppelin – Carouselambra (Jimmy and John continued to amaze right to the end)
