I think to show off any setup you are best to go with documentaries such as Home, Earth etc anything showing natural settings and open space filled with colour.

For regular movies I honestly think the best Blu-ray movies I love the look of are Dark Knight, Avatar and I could keep following suit with everybody else. But for something different but still on par for visuals I would suggest

Into the Blue (SO UNDERRATED) This movie looks so beautiful
Chronicles of Riddick
Die Hard 4.0

As far as individual movie titles go, you can't go wrong with either "The Dark Knight" or "Kill Bill Volume 1".

As far as movie series boxsets go you can't go wrong with the "Alien Anthology". I have the one with egg packaging :P

Hey chrisco i would say its whatever you personaly like I have pretty much upgraded all of my favorite dvd's to blu ray,so i would say any movie that you really like is a valuable addition to your collection in blu ray

And i know ill get shot down for this but even though i have The Dark Knight in my collection i could easily live without it,yes it has great PQ and AQ and whilst i liked the movie it would not be in my top 100 movies. A movie like Commando which to some maybe laughable but for me it has good PQ compared to the dvd and a worthy upgrade for me but no where near the PQ and AQ quality of TDK but ill re watch it and enjoy it therefore more important to me in my collection if that makes sense???

I will say thing one thing and im guilty of this, buying crappy titles just because there cheap, ill go oh thats only $10 ill grab that but in reality ill only ever watch it once so yeah i know i need to ease up on the junk purchases

Your off to a cracking start with your collection in only 5 weeks now be WARNED this is very addictive and can consume your life!!! But would we have it any other way lol

Enjoy mate

Cheers V

If you are after rewatch value, i'll put The Bourne Trilogy up every time;
If you are after collectable value I'm going with Watchmen Ultimate Cut.

Seeing as everyone is talking about Alien
I also have the Alien Egg set, love it.

Has anyone got any more info on this upcoming release?

Wouldnt mind it for collections sake, but a lot of money when already spent on Alien dvd boxset and Alien Egg boxset...

I say for PQ that Sin City Recut is one of the most beautiful Blu's I have seen so far. I would suggest that anyone pick it up just to see something so crisp and just downright awesome. I love Sin City, and personally I don't love them split into their stories like this version did, but it looks sooooooo good.

Have to agree about 'Into the blue'. Apart from the T&A on show it's a beautifully filmed movie and looks great on a big screen.

Unfortunately that set is all content and not quality.. the film needs a quality, loving remaster.

This film does have a quality remaster. The PQ looks great. As for the set itself, its one of the nicest Blu ray sets available.
