I read it at the OHMB a year or so back. It's in their threads about the Producer's Cut. And it's just a bootleg that has the producer's cut on one disc, the rough cut on a second disc, the director's cut on a third disc, the TV cut on the fourth disc and then the fifth disc is all special features.

I'd love a BD if it ever happens...I suspect this will go down as one of those "lost" versions of a film to always be a copy of a copy of a copy etc.... I might one day want to grab a better quality dvd of it, the copy I have is pretty rough and is hard to watch....

I believe the producer's cut only exists as a work print in rough condition. It's never going to look like the regular version of the movie and I'm almost positive we won't see it officially released on any format, much less Blu-ray.

No..Daniel Farrands confirmed a few months ago on his Facebook that original negatives still exist (in mint condition) and "New Miramax" owns them. These are some of his posts:

"I have made the new owners of Miramax aware of the P-Cut (which is safe and sound in a film vault) and they are looking into a possible release."

"The good news is the new Miramax brass are now aware of the P-Cut and are motivated to make money off the library titles they purchased."

It's basically a dead duck unless an outfit like Scream Factory wants to release it. There is no way a company like Echo Bridge would pay for a new HD transfer and then release it. Good news it exists but I am still not hopeful we'll see it on BD.

Knowing this exists now for sure makes me really want a release. Why don't they just lease it to someone like Shout for a release? They don't have to sell it off if they don't want to but they could lease it for a release. Something to think about.

They're screening the producer's cut from a 35mm print. Maybe this is one step closer to getting this on Blu (or even an actual DVD).

2015 is the 20th anniversary not 2014. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers was a September 1995 release.

" Echo Bridge is discounting all of their Miramax titles. Lionsgate got all of the high profile stuff but there are some real gems that wound up at Echo Bridge. Will be interesting to see which label these titles will move to."

Some chance to finally get PC released?
